Woodside is getting to know our Texas neighbors in Beaumont, Nederland and surrounding communities! As we approach first production at Beaumont New Ammonia, we hosted two Open Houses where community members had the opportunity to meet our project team, as well as learn about our approach to community, hiring, local suppliers and safety. Thank you to everyone who attended, including County Commissioner Cary Erickson, County Commissioner Brandon Willis, City of Nederland Mayor Jeff Darby, and Beaumont ISD Trustee Joe Evans.    Beaumont New Ammonia, a project formerly owned by OCI, is Woodside’s largest investment in new energy to date — approximately US$2.35 billion. Construction of Train 1 is underway, with OCI managing the construction of the project.   

As part of our long-term commitment to local content and sustainable energy development, Woodside’s Senegal team is proud to launch a technical training program for 28 young Senegalese technicians, recruited by MODEC to work on the Sangomar project.    The first cohort of 14 trainees began their journey last week as part of an initiative developed in partnership with MODEC and the INPG | Institut National du Pétrole et du Gaz, with the collaboration of IFP Training in France. Together, we are helping to build the next generation of skilled professionals for Senegal’s energy industry.    Selected from more than 2,000 applicants, the participants will complete a comprehensive program combining classroom learning, practical workshops, and on-the-job experience in Senegal and France. Beyond developing technical skills, our support also aims to strengthen local teaching capacity, enhance infrastructure at INPG, and promote knowledge sharing.    #WoodsideEnergy #LocalContent #Senegal #Sangomar #EnergyDevelopment #CapacityBuilding #Sustainability #Partnership 

Woodside was proud to sponsor the Mid-Career Scientist of the Year at the 2025 Premier’s Science Awards this week. Our EVP Technical and Energy Development, Julie Fallon presented the award to Professor Asha Bowen OAM, a leading Paediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist dedicated to reducing skin infections among Aboriginal children. Her work spans remote trials, lab discoveries, hospital research and national advocacy – always guided by values that put children first. Congratulations to Professor Bowen and all finalists! That’s a wrap on the initial drilling campaign for the Scarborough Energy Project, with the team successfully delivering the first eight wells as part of the development of the gas field. The 500-day campaign was supported by over 400 people who safely completed drilling and completions activities to wells totalling 15km in length.  At the end of Q3 2025, the Scarborough Energy Project was 91% complete and targeting first LNG cargo in the second half of 2026. What a pleasure for Woodside to support Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA’s fantastic business briefing this morning with Federal Treasurer the Hon Dr Jim Chalmers MP. Our EVP Sustainability, Policy & External Affairs Tony Cudmore delivered a vote of thanks following the Treasurer’s address.   It was great to hear the Treasurer outline his vision for Australia to remain globally competitive, productive and prosperous. With WA’s world-leading resources sector well represented at the event, he truly got to experience the engine room of the national economy! Congratulations to CCIWA’s Nicki Ivory, Matt Golds, and Aaron Morey on another enjoyable event. The event explored challenges faced at every career stage and featured insightful keynote speeches, engaging panel discussions, and authentic lived experiences to help professionals overcome obstacles. These insights provided practical strategies for ongoing growth within STEM industries, while continuing to foster support networks for all professionals.

We’re proud to share that our annual corporate giving campaign raised $806,406 and contributed 590 volunteer hours for United Way of Greater Houston. This achievement was made possible through employee contributions, corporate matching, and the highly anticipated Tour de Woodside trike race.   A special thanks to our amazing trike race partners, Bechtel Corporation and Baker Hughes, racing with Woodside and collectively raising $250,000.   Together, we’re helping our Houston neighbors land on their feet and stay there. We’re grateful for this annual campaign that unites our Houston-based employees around a common goal: strengthening the community that we call home.    Kindness is the way. United is the way. Congratulations to the students from the Engineering Faculty team at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) on their participation in the 2025 PetroBowl Championship in Houston.   Woodside is proud to have sponsored the team in the competition, which brings together petroleum engineers from around the world.   The Trion management welcomed the students at our Houston office to hear firsthand about their experience. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with UNAM and creating more opportunities for the next generation of energy professionals.
