  • At INPEX, we are incredibly proud to be part of Australian communities.   That’s why we invest in programs that strengthen social vibrancy and drive economic growth, because thriving communities are at the heart of Australia.   Thank you Australian Energy Producers for bringing industry and Government together.

Gas industry workers from across Australia, alongside local business owners, Local Government representatives, farmers, Traditional Owners and other stakeholders gathered at Parliament House today for Australian Gas Communities Day, meeting with parliamentarians to share their experiences and highlight the vital role of gas in communities across Australia.     The initiative, led by Australian Energy Producers and member companies, brought together more than 40 participants to shine a light on the people working around the clock to deliver reliable and secure energy for Australians, and the positive contribution the gas industry has made in their communities.    “Australian Gas Communities Day has given policymakers in Canberra a chance to hear directly from the people on the ground who keep energy flowing and regional communities thriving – from plant operators and engineers to small business owners and Traditional Owners,” Australian Energy Producers Chief Executive Samantha McCulloch said.     “These are the faces of the industry that delivers so much for Australia — from jobs and regional investment to reliable, affordable energy.”    Woodside Energy, Shell, Santos Ltd, Arrow Energy, INPEX Australia, Chevron Australia, Amplitude Energy, Tamboran Resources Corporation, Senex Energy

  • Last week, INPEX was proud to support the Top End Maths Camp at the Charles Darwin University (CDU) Radicle Centre, where more than 80 students and 20 teachers came together for two days of fun, problem-solving and friendship.   The camp also marked the launch of the CDU Radicle Centre STEM Enrichment Program, a new initiative to create year-round opportunities for young people to engage in STEM — both in school and during school holidays.   We’re pleased to champion the next generation of thinkers, innovators and problem solvers across the Northern Territory, supporting a brighter energy future.

  • INPEX teammates were pleased to participate in the Darwin Harbour Clean-Up last week, alongside other conservation-minded volunteers from across the community. Organised by Larrakia Nation Aboriginal Corporation, the event highlights the ongoing impact of rubbish on our environment, reinforcing the importance behind the message “bin it, or take it with you!” Operations Coordinator, Murray Hooper recaps the day. “It was great to be involved in such a meaningful initiative. The amount of rubbish collected was a powerful reminder of the importance of community-led environmental action,” said Murray. In total, an incredible 1,178 kilograms of rubbish was removed from the harbour! Well done to everyone involved.

  • Meet Cordelia, an Engineering Team Lead at our Ichthys LNG facility in Darwin. "My journey began in 2015 as an engineering graduate. I chose INPEX not only because it was a company investing in my hometown, but also for the unique learning opportunities that come along with an energy project encompassing the whole chain of LNG development and production. Looking back, I'm very glad I did," Cordelia said.   Cordelia's had many highlights over the years, from seeing the offshore facilities before they sailed, contributing to business processes widely used today, and being involved in the start-up of Ichthys LNG.   "INPEX is a company that genuinely cares about their people. Every day I have opportunities to grow in my role. I love working with, and learning from, such talented people," she said. Interested in how you could make your mark at INPEX? • Last year alone, Australia lost 74 women to gender-based violence, the highest number of lives taken in nine years. Since 2000, the Territory has lost 90 women. The prevalence of gender-based violence is both a crisis, and a reality no one should face. Leveraging the power of community to break the cycle, THE STAND led by NO MORE AU, is calling for 90 Domestic Violence Action Plans (DVAPs) to be created in 90 days. At INPEX, we've joined the movement, formalising our Domestic Violence Action Plan for 2025 – 2027. Safe, respectful and inclusive communities are a necessity. Join us and the many businesses, sporting teams and organisations making a plan to take a stand - https://lnkd.in/gnhPdMVg

  • Congratulations to Jade McGowan, Operations Technician Production, who has been named Trainee of the Year at the NT Training Awards! “This moment means everything to me. To the young men and women out there who might not see themselves in this industry yet - I didn’t know these opportunities existed within the Vocational Education Training Sector when I was younger. But they do. And they’re waiting for you. If I can do it, so can you,” Jade said. Throughout her traineeship at INPEX, Jade has lived our values of Safety, Integrity, Diversity, Ingenuity and Collaboration.
