💡𝐀 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 When our CEO Anders Opedal lit the gas lamps in Prague, it wasn’t just a symbolic gesture. 🇨🇿 It marked the beginning of a new partnership that will help keep homes and businesses in the Czech Republic warm and powered for years to come. Deliveries from the 10-year agreement with the Capital City of Prague’s gas and electricity company Pražská plynárenská, a. s. have already started, and will last until 2035. 🇳🇴 Our supplies of pipeline gas to Europe are backed by the resources on the Norwegian continental shelf, Europe’s most important energy province. ⚡The gas will be used for heating homes, cooking, and generating electricity – things people rely on every single day. ✅ The Czech Republic is working to move away from coal and needs stable energy sources during its transition. Gas is a key part of that plan. This agreement helps secure energy for Prague and beyond, making the country more resilient in a changing European energy market. 🇪🇺 The agreement joins a string of long-term gas contracts we’ve signed across Europe in recent years, demonstrating the role gas plays for European energy security. While our main gas markets have been in northwest Europe and the UK, we’ve expanded our reach to include supplies to the Baltics and Poland – and we see that more countries in central and southern Europe are looking for reliable, long-term energy partners. For decades, fields like Heimdal have produced oil and gas from offshore Norway. But even when production ends, it doesn’t mean that our work is done. Decommissioning means carrying out the work of shutting down fields safely, sustainably and efficiently. It also means ensuring resources are recycled for future use. In the years ahead, decommissioning will remain an important part of our work on the Norwegian continental shelf. Thank you to Gassco AS, Heerema Marine Contractors and Aker Solutions for the collaboration on this project.

Here is one reason why the Norwegian Continental Shelf is one of the world’s most successful energy regions: In 1985 Equinor and The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, established the VISTA programme. That’s four decades of supporting nearly 300 PhD and postdoctoral researchers, independently advancing everything from petroleum management to the energy transition and social sciences. VISTA’s overall vision has been to “stimulate basic mathematical and scientific research related to the exploitation and management of Norway’s petroleum resources”. Now, 40 years later it’s easy to conclude that it has been a success. Over the years, VISTA’s mission has evolved. Originally focused on basic research for long-term petroleum resource management, the programme now prioritises research centres addressing the energy transition, renewable energy, and low-carbon solutions. The recent inclusion of social science research highlights the growing importance of public engagement and policy in technological change. VISTA creates value not only through tangible research outcomes, but also by developing expertise as research fellows transition into our industry. I am proud to witness the impact of VISTA’s work—bringing together brilliant minds, pioneering research, and a shared commitment to a sustainable energy future. A huge congratulations to VISTA’s 40 years anniversary! Thank you to all who have contributed to this remarkable legacy and to those who will carry it forward! ✨ Video by: Liwlig Norge/The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters

In the past, Equinor was probably most well known in Denmark for hot dogs at gas stations. But after divesting the Statoil Fuel and Retail and other business we also owned in Denmark, we have gradually developed a renewed footprint there: - Acquiring trading powerhouse Danske Commodities in 2018/2019 - Acquiring solar farm developer BeGreen in 2022 - Started maturing CO2 Storage Kalundborg together with Ørsted and Nordsøfonden - Hiring key Danish talent to support building our renewables business, which now means that our Global Offshore Wind unit is headquartered in Copenhagen. - And lastly – we own 10% of Ørsted. All this to say: Denmark is an interesting country for Equinor! That is also why we opened a new office in Copenhagen last week, where Danske Commodities and Equinor will share the same address. It was an honour and a pleasure to get to cut the ribbon for our new office. I hope the office will be a place where we combine the best from Denmark and Norway to play an even more important part in Europe’s energy transition.

What is the most important resource for a broad energy company like Equinor? Curious and courageous people. I am fortunate enough to work with a lot of bright and caring people, ready to bring up challenges, new ideas and ask important questions. That is so important to deliver on our purpose of building energy for people, progress for society, always searching for better. To succeed, we need the right people to want to work with us. That is why I am so proud of this year’s Universum survey in Norway. We have come out as the most attractive employer for both engineering and business professionals, and in IT we come in second, climbing up the ladder from previous years. The survey also shows that respect for its people comes as the most valued attribute by professionals. Equinor has a values-based culture, where people can be themselves, develop continuously, grow together, and find a safe working environment to perform at their very best. We work every day to live up to those values, and I think the results of this survey shows that our efforts are making an impact. Equinor recognized (again!) as a top choice among IT Professionals 💪 This makes me very proud✨ For the second year in a row, our company is ranked the second most attractive employer among IT professionals in Norway, in this year’s Universum Awards. Universum, a global employer branding and talent research organisation, surveyed 8,306 working professionals across Norway to see what drives and motivates them. Their findings show that the most attractive companies are linked to modern technology, learning, and development. Experienced professionals are increasingly seeking more than just stability—they are looking for impact, progress, and alignment with their values. IT professionals are drawn to employers who use technology to address real societal challenges, according to Universum. As Head of Equinor’s business area responsible for technology and digital, I see this recognition as a testament to our ongoing efforts to create an environment where people feel respected, can work with exciting technologies, and develop new skills while contributing to important challenges. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our colleagues in Equinor—your dedication and passion are what make our company such an outstanding place to work⭐ Congratulations to Microsoft for securing the top spot this year! What qualities do you value most in a workplace?

This week we have done something we do not do very often – we have launched a new business area! We are establishing our Power business area bringing together our efforts within renewables, flexible power generation, energy storage and power trading. This transformation is more than structural; it’s strategic. With the ongoing electrification of the world’s energy system, the world increasingly relies on a flexible, reliable and affordable electricity supply. Our power portfolio has been growing in different parts of the organisation: - Our offshore wind journey started with the Sheringham Shoal wind farm in the UK and the Hywind demonstration unit in Norway, both in 2009. - We strengthened our power trading capabilities when we acquired Danske Commodities in 2018. - We have grown in onshore renewables and energy storage since 2018, - … and all this is underpinned flexible generation assets like Triton (acquired in 2022) fuelled by Norwegian gas from the Norwegian Continental Shelf. I believe bringing these puzzle pieces together will strengthen our competitiveness and value-creation within the power business. So – congratulations to Power’s EVP Helge Haugane (pictured) and the rest of the Power team. We are counting on your dedication, insight and experience to deliver on the potential of Power, and I look forward to working with you on building this together.

At this year’s AI, Data and Robotics Forum (ADRF) in Stavanger, Norway, and in collaboration with the European Commission, we joined industry partners and experts to discuss how technology can drive safer, smarter and more sustainable energy operations. From panel discussions on resilience and cybersecurity to demonstrations of AI and robotics in action – including our robot dog Roberta – ADRF was an inspiring arena for collaboration and knowledge sharing. Thanks to everyone who took part and contributed to the dialogue on how data and technology will help shape better energy solutions.
