  • This Remembrance Day, did you know…? For 125 years, The Salvation Army has been privileged to stand alongside Australia’s service personnel — offering comfort, care and connection in times of conflict, hardship and homecoming. Salvo’s representatives were there in the Boer War. In the First World War, “Fighting Mac” McKenzie buried hundreds of ANZACs under fire. In the Second World War, they served tea and hope in the trenches of Tobruk and the jungles of New Guinea. And in every conflict since, they’ve offered a listening ear, a quiet prayer, and a steady presence. Through Red Shield Defence Services, that legacy of compassion continues — serving those who serve, with courage and care. #RemembranceDay #LestWeForget #Salvos #TheSalvationArmy #RSDS #StillServing #BelieveinGood

  • This Christmas, we’re partnering with AGL Energy, Alinta Energy, and Origin Energy for the 2025 Light the Way campaign – a powerful collaboration that's bringing hope and practical relief to Australian families doing it tough. Since launching in 2022, Light the Way has demonstrated what's possible when industry leaders unite for good. This year, we're working together to support Australian families with essential assistance – from covering unexpected bills and putting food on the table to ensuring children wake up to gifts on Christmas morning. A heartfelt thank you to AGL Energy, Alinta Energy, and Origin Energy for once again leading the way in corporate social responsibility and showing what's possible when we work together. Together, we're transforming lives and lighting the way this Christmas 💡 #LightTheWay #ChristmasAppeal #CorporatePartnership #EnergyForGood

Together, we're aiming to raise $29 million to help bring hope to people in need this Christmas ❤️

  • Leaders from across the political spectrum came together to support the 2025 Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal at Parliament House in Canberra. Now in its 38th year, the Appeal aims to provide hope to those in need at Christmas and beyond. The Salvation Army is honoured to be joined by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Leader of the Opposition Sussan Ley, Speaker of the House Milton Dick MP, President of the Senate Sue Lines, Kmart Group's Managing Director Alek Spaseska and our own Colonel Rodney Walters who officially kicked off the Appeal for 2025. Whether it’s a gift or a financial contribution online at https://lnkd.in/guaANGUV every donation goes toward helping families who are doing it tough. You too can be the hope people around Australia desperately need. Thank you to Kmart Australia Limited, Members of Parliament and all our supporters for making this appeal launch a success. #TheSalvationArmy #Salvos #KmartWishingTreeAppeal #ChristmasAppeal
