The new Breguet Classique 7225 In 1802, Abraham-Louis Breguet undertook construction of a series of five timepieces featuring several devices designed to improve precision, in particular a tourbillon associated to natural escapement. These creations represented the pinnacle of what the master watchmaker could offer his clients in terms of timekeeping. The House of Breguet celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2025, with the unveiling of the Classique Souscription 2025 wristwatch in Paris, home to Abraham-Louis Breguet’s workshop, which saw the birth of the master watchmaker’s great inventions. The first timepiece with a simplified architecture, the design is epitomised by the purity of the white enamel dial, the time displayed by a single hand, yet with a remarkable legibility. More than two centuries ago, it was presented through an advertising pamphlet, the likes of which had never been seen before. Today, the historic, groundbreaking Souscription pocket watch is reborn as a wristwatch.

In the 1960s, NASA sought a watch capable of withstanding the extreme conditions of space travel. Tissot, the National Basketball Association (NBA), Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and NBA G League announced a multiyear extension of their global marketing partnerships that began in 2015. The expanded collaboration will feature the introduction of a redesigned, state-of-the-art shot clock and timing system, the launch of the new Tissot NBA Supersport 2025 Special Edition watch and will make Tissot the presenting partner of an NBA Global Game in Europe for the next 10 years. The announcement was made by Tissot CEO Sylvain Dolla, NBA President of Global Partnerships Salvatore LaRocca and Tissot Ambassadors, NBA legend Tony Parker and 2024 WNBA Champion Sabrina Ionescu, at a demonstration of the new shot clock prior to The NBA Paris Games 2025 presented by Tissot, featuring the Indiana Pacers and the San Antonio Spurs playing two regular-season games at the Accor Arena on Thursday, Jan. 23 and Saturday, Jan. 25. “This new shot clock is a testament of our commitment to being an integral part of the game,” said Dolla. “We want to keep contributing to enhancing the fan experience.
