Balancing Seamaster heritage with a modern approach, the 4th generation is sharper and more angular than before, and also appears flatter and slimmer thanks to flat sapphire crystal and an overall refinement across the entire case and bracelet. OMEGA to the Moon and beyond. OMEGA unveils seven new Master Chronometer models across four distinctive dials, each showcasing advanced ceramic engineering and precision finishing. Available on newly designed rubber or nylon straps, the collection represents years of technical refinement in case construction and movement development. In 1968, history was made when the Apollo 8 became the first human flight ever to orbit the moon. As command module pilot Jim Lovell spoke his final words to ground control—"we’ll see you on the other side”—before disappearing beyond radio contact to the lunar far side, each astronaut onboard carried an OMEGA Speedmaster.
