This research presents a toddler monitoring system for vehicles that utilizes deep learning algorithms, specifically SSD-Mobilenet and SSD-Inception, to detect the presence of toddlers and assess their seatbelt status for improved safety. The system achieves real-time monitoring with an accuracy of up to 82.98% and operates effectively on an NVIDIA Jetson Nano. Future enhancements include improving system accuracy by increasing the database diversity and collaboration with vehicle manufacturers.
