How to Create Certifications in

In Odoo 18, the Certifications feature allows companies to effectively
track and manage employee qualifications when specific knowledge is
required for certain job roles. This ensures that employees possess the
necessary skills and credentials to perform their duties. Certifications
can include a wide range of activities such as classes, tests, professional
seminars, and more. Odoo places no restrictions on the types of
certification records that can be added, offering flexibility to document
and monitor all forms of professional development.

To record a certification for an employee, open the Employees app
and go to Reporting ‣ Certifications. Click New to access a blank
certification form. Make sure the Survey module is installed before
proceeding.

To view all employee certifications, go to the Employees app and
navigate to Reporting ‣ Certifications. The list view displays
certifications grouped by employee, showing details such as the
employee’s name and avatar, certification title, start and end dates,
and the related course from the Surveys app, if applicable.
Certifications are color-coded: black for valid, red for expired, and
orange for those expiring within 90 days..

When clicking the New button, a form view opens. Fill in the Title,
select the Employee, and choose the Type to determine where it
appears on the employee’s resume. Next, choose the Display Type to
set its visibility. For the Course and Certification options, an additional
field appears to select the corresponding course or certification
created in the Surveys app. Finally, add a Description and set the
certification Duration using the date picker.
Enterprise
Here, we can see the created certifications, which are grouped by
employee by default. This grouping can be changed by applying a
different filter.
