How to Configure Automatic Wave Transfer in Odoo 18 Inventory
- 1. How to ConfigureAutomatic Wave Transfer in Odoo 18 Inventory Enterprise
- 2. Enterprise Introduction In this slide,we’ll discuss on how to configure automatic wave transfer in Odoo 18 Inventory. Wave transfer is a feature in Odoo's inventory module that allows you to group multiple transfer operations together and process them as a single unit. This can significantly improve efficiency in warehouse operations by reducing the number of trips, Optimizing picking and packing processes.
- 3. Enterprise First we candive into the Inventory module and enable the batch, wave and cluster transfers from settings. This optimizes the transfers by grouping operations together and assigning job to workers.
- 4. Enterprise From the configurationmenu, we can go to operation types.
- 5. Enterprise In the operationtypes, we can see the receipts, delivery orders.
- 6. Enterprise We can choosethe transfer Delivery order and we can see the automatic transfer in the form view.
- 7. Enterprise We can enablethe Automatic Batches to configure the automatic wave transfer.
- 8. Enterprise We can seemany fields after enabling the Automatic Batches. We have options of both batch grouping and wave grouping.
- 9. Enterprise Now among thefields appeared, we can enable the wave grouping.
- 10. Enterprise In the wavegrouping, we have options of grouping by product, product category or location. We can now group based on product.
- 11. Enterprise Next, we cancreate a quotation and then choose the customer. By clicking on Catalog we can add multiple products at a time.
- 12. Enterprise We can choosethe required products with necessary quantities.
- 13. Enterprise We can seethe products we added in the product lines with their quantities.
- 14. Enterprise After creating thequotation, we can duplicate this by clicking on gear icon.
- 15. Enterprise In the duplicatedquotation we can choose another customer with same products line.
- 16. Enterprise By moving tothe list view of the quotations, we can send the quotations by clicking on Mark Quotation as Sent.
- 17. Enterprise Now we canconfirm both the quotation by clicking on Confirm button.
- 18. Enterprise Now both thequotations are in sale order state.
- 19. Enterprise Next, we canmove to the Inventory module and go to wave transfers from the Operations menu.
- 20. Enterprise In the wavetransfers list view, we can see the wave transfers which is grouped by similar products.
- 21. Enterprise In each ofthe wave transfer it is grouped by similar products so that we can dispatch it easily.
- 22. Enterprise After selecting alltransfers, we can click on Prepare wave button to process the wave transfers.
- 23. Enterprise In the wizardopened, we can choose the location where the products are located.
- 24. Enterprise Among the transfers,we can choose the transfer which we want to complete the transfer as wave transfer.
- 25. Enterprise After selecting, wecan click on Add to wave button.
- 26. Enterprise Now we cansee all those transfers has combined in to single transfer.
- 27. Enterprise Upon opening thewave transfer we can see all the products in both the sale orders under the Operations tab.
- 28. Enterprise We can clickon Validate button to complete the transfer as wave.
- 29. Enterprise Now the wavetransfer is completed and it is in Done stage.
