Tower Peak Partners Hires Ex-KPMG Sustainable Finance Lead as Head of Sustainability. Based in London, Monika D. will oversee sustainability integration across Tower Peak’s investment portfolios, including ESG data management, and driving the firm’s environmental and social impact initiatives. Prior to joining Tower Peak, Monika served as Sustainable Finance Lead in KPMG International’s Global Decarbonisation Hub, where she designed a sustainable investing framework for leading global private capital managers. The framework enabled the launch of climate and energy transition SFDR Article 8 and 9 funds and supported the deployment of $50 billion in capital. It was later showcased as a COP28 case study. At KPMG, she also led global pursuits in structured financing for net-zero transition and supported the World Economic Forum in designing public-private vehicles to attract private capital into early coal retirement. Before KPMG, Monika was Head of ESG at Plastic Energy, a pioneer in chemical recycling technology addressing plastic waste pollution. Following Tower Peak Partners' recent acquisition of a stake in a portfolio of social impact businesses, several media outlets reported on the milestone for the firm. IFR, Tessa Walsh: ‘TPP bought the portfolio of minority stakes of 5%–15% in seven companies from New York-based Disability Opportunities Fund in a secondary private equity transaction. DOF is a venture capital, nonprofit community development loan fund that provides financing to increase access to affordable housing and services for people with disabilities.’ Anthony Catachanas FEI, “I don't know any other social impact strategies in the market today that focus on enabling persons with disabilities to participate in the workforce. No other funds have announced themselves as focusing on this type of target and initiative." Reuters, Ross Kerber: ‘London-headquartered Tower Peak made its first investments in a set of disabilities-focused companies including Hiki, a dating and friend app aimed at autistic, ADHD and neurodivergent adults.
