We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Raj Shah as new CFO & Operating Partner, effective 1st January 2026. Paul Bramley will be stepping down after 5 years with Claret, as part of a planned move towards retirement. He will remain engaged as a Director and Consultant on a part-time basis.
Having been with Claret since 2020, Paul joined to lead the transition of the support infrastructure following the MBO from Harbert Management Corporation, and to help drive the expansion of Claret as a leading independent growth debt platform. Within these five years, Claret’s AUM have more than doubled to over €1.1bn through launching three funds, and the firm has attracted significant co-invest capital. Claret now has an institutional-quality operational framework to ensure continued growth and market penetration.
With over two decades of experience across financial services and private markets, Raj joins from private-credit manager 17Capital, where he served as CFO. As part of the senior leadership team, he helped scale the firm from $200m to nearly $20bn in AUM, leading initiatives across fund structuring, platform growth, and operational excellence, while building high-performing teams and robust financial infrastructure to support sustained expansion.
Raj will work closely with the team as Claret continues to expand and solidify its position as Europe’s leading growth debt fund.
