This Transgender Awareness Week, we’re celebrating our ongoing commitment to supporting our people. 🌈 We have officially joined the Pride Pledge 🏳️🌈 Gender Affirmation Policy Register, a step that reflects who we are - an airline that values authenticity, inclusion, and respect for everyone in our Air New Zealand whānau. ✨ Refreshed our Gender Affirmation Guidelines to make them clearer and more accessible. ✨ Implemented two weeks of paid Gender Affirmation Leave to provide space and support for those on their affirmation journey. ✨ Created new resources and guidance for teams and leaders to better support colleagues through their gender affirmation. These aren’t just policies; they’re part of our ongoing journey to be the safest airline in the world for rainbow people. 💜

Together with BETA TECHNOLOGIES we have officially launched our Next Generation Aircraft Technical Demonstrator Programme, with the BETA ALIA CX300 now operating in Hamilton. Our pilots, Andrew Mercer and James Owen, are working alongside BETA’s flight operations and engineering teams to build knowledge, training systems, and operational insights that will help New Zealand and other nations prepare for the future of flight when electric aircraft technology is scalable and ready. The aircraft will take to the skies across regional New Zealand, with visits to Taupō, Napier, and Palmerston North before heading to Wellington and Cook Strait crossings to Blenheim.

Heard a new neighbour moved in next to our Auckland office, so naturally, we had to say kia ora (and check out the view 👀). Welcome to the hood, One New Zealand, enjoy the little housewarming gift! 😉

Together with Parrotdog, we’ve brewed up the hoppiest addition to our fleet: Dash-hound. 🍺 Brewed with the brand-new NZH-109 hop and crafted to taste its best at 30,000 feet, this beer is packed with tropical fruit notes, a relaxed bitterness and plenty of personality. Dash-hound is available in Koru Hour for the month of November, select Air New Zealand Lounges, Business Premier™, and Parrotdog Bar in Wellington. Because we believe even beer should be designed to fly. ✈️

Remember our hunt for Chief Ice Cream Tasters? Turns out, the sweetest job comes with some serious decision-making.🍦 Our successful applicants joined Appleby Farms to sample their way through flavour after flavour - all in the name of finding the perfect scoop to fly onboard this summer! A sweet way to celebrate local craft and regional flavour, and our tasters didn’t hold back when it came to feedback (or second scoops 🤭). A little taste of Nelson, made to be shared across the world, joining our flights from early December. ✈️
