It's Fraud Awareness Week and at One NZ, we’re all about looking out for our whānau, using #AI to take protections a step further. Between April and September this year, we blocked 3.7 million scam calls – that’s a whole lot of dodgy calls that never made it through. We’re using smart AI tech to spot scams before they hit your phone, so you can stay connected without the stress. Scammers are getting crafty, but we’re onto them. If something feels a bit off, trust your gut and check it out. Last week we were privileged to host the Champions for Change CEO & Chairs Summit on 13 November. Thank you to Chorus NZ Limited for hosting, and to all our Champions who joined us. It was an energising afternoon of powerful kōrero led by Global Women Chair Dame Theresa Gattung DNZM, Champions for Change Co-Chair Carrie Hurihanganui, and Global Women CEO Katie Bhreatnach, alongside sector CEOs who openly shared their experiences, challenges, and commitments. Across the room, the message was clear: progression, pay equity, and inclusive leadership require practical action and collective momentum. The willingness of organisations to collaborate - particularly around cross-sector mentoring, transparent reporting, and creating the conditions for women to thrive - is what continues to set the Champions apart. A special thank you to our panellists and Champions Mark Aue, Jason Paris, Jolie Hodson MNZM and guest Jessica Bartlett for their candour, and to Karina Nathan for an invaluable, real-world view of implementing enhanced parental leave in practice. We’re looking forward to taking this mahi into 2026 - and building on the commitments made in the room. #ChampionsForChange #InclusiveLeadership #GlobalWomen #DiversityEquityInclusion

Hundreds of Aucklanders rolled through Smales Farm in Takapuna over the Labour long weekend to drop off their old tech and electronics at the One NZ E-Waste Drop-Off Day, held as part of Recycling Week. Together, we collected an incredible 14,612 kilograms of e-waste — avoiding an estimated 4,190 kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions. That’s thousands of laptops, phones, and cords given a new lease on life instead of ending up in landfill. This was the second e-waste drop-off day we’ve sponsored, and facilitated by our partner Echo. Supporting initiatives like this reflects our sustainability kaupapa — e-waste reduction is one of our five most significant sustainability priorities, and we’re committed to recycling at least 95% of our network waste. We’re proud to back events that make it easier for New Zealanders to take small, meaningful actions for the planet — one long-weekend spring clean at a time. 🌿

This week we brought together our teams from across New Zealand, in-person and virtually, for the One NZ AI Showcase—a pivotal milestone in our journey to become the most AI-enabled telco on the planet. What made this event special? ✅ We celebrated one year since setting our AI ambition, reflecting on how far we’ve come together. ✅ Our teams shared real stories of AI in action—33 live solutions and over 100 qualified ideas—transforming customer experience, streamlining operations, and driving responsible innovation. ✅ We reinforced the principles that guide our responsible use of AI. ✅ The AI Showcase was about more than technology—it was about our people and how AI is reshaping the way we work, opening new opportunities for learning, adapting, and growing together. ✅ While we have so many incredible vendors and partners, we decided that this showcase was all about us – and so we only invited One NZ speakers and staff. This highlighted all the incredible internal teams doing the mahi to adopt awesome tech to innovate for our customers. Thank you to all the Oneders who joined, contributed, and shared their experiences. We’re excited to keep the momentum going, and together, we’re building a better-connected Aotearoa. The video shows just a few of the highlights from the livestream – with many more incredible demos and showcases from people right across our business. To our vendors, partners, and everyone else who is helping us on our journey – we thank you for your support as we continue to enhance our customer experiences and harness AI tools. #AIShowcase #FutureOfWork #ResponsibleAI #AI Natalie Burrows Summer Collins Jason Paris Nicky Preston Sam Bruce Neeharika Chowdhary Reece Kingi David Redmore Cy Wright Sunil S.
