  • This week, our national team came together for R U OK? Day with our valued partners in Black Dog Institute and the Perth Scorchers to discuss how we can better support each other’s mental health and wellbeing. 💛 Led by David Rossetto, Senior Industry Advisor and Engagement Manager at Black Dog Institute, the conversation with Scorchers players Joel Paris, Matt Kelly and Sam Fanning and Player Development Manager Scott Hancock highlighted the vital role of organisational culture in creating safe and inclusive environments. The discussion explored the importance of fostering genuine conversations about mental health, building sustainable support systems in the workplace, and taking the time to regularly check in with colleagues, friends, and family. Some of the key insights included: 🟡While setbacks are inevitable, having a strong support network at work and home, and being able to have open conversations with them, makes it easier to navigate through the tough times. 🟡Visualisation and preparation can help manage stress and anxiety by creating familiarity with a situation, whether that be performing on the field or presenting in a meeting. 🟡When asking someone if they’re ok, choose the right setting and take the time to really listen. 🟡Checking in with one another and being open and vulnerable can lead to shared experiences and meaningful learning. We are proud to partner with such great organisations that are dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the mental health and wellbeing space, and to provide our team with ongoing support through these initiatives. 💛 #RUOKDay #mentalhealth #workplacewellbeing
