Huge recognition for Margaret River this week, highlighted beautifully by Time Out Group plc. The region has been named the world’s best-performing wine region at the 2025 IWSC, securing 22.5% of all global trophies and outperforming some of the most established regions internationally. Amid such strong competition, we are thrilled to see Deep Woods Estate’s Reserve Chardonnay 2023 and 2024 included among the top wines of the region. It is a remarkable reflection of the work that goes into every vintage. https://lnkd.in/gcCe_YxC

This week we were thrilled to host our key WA-based trade partners and media for the annual Deep Woods Estate Reserve Launch Lunch, held in the newly renovated State Buildings Cellar Room at COMO The Treasury. Guests experienced a curated menu paired with both current and museum vintages from the Deep Woods Reserve collection — an exploration of how these wines evolve and gain complexity with age. Led by Chief Winemaker Julian Langworthy, the tasting journey featured our newly released 2024 Reserve Chardonnay and 2023 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside rare back vintages that spoke to the pedigree and longevity of the range. The 2024 Reserve Chardonnay, ranked #1 Chardonnay in Western Australia and #7 in Australia by JamesSuckling.com Top 100 Australian Wines, shone with notes of citrus, sea spray and white peach, balanced by subtle French oak. The 2023 Reserve Cabernet displayed its trademark elegance and structure — layered with cedar, cassis and cacao, promising an exceptional future. Thank you to all who joined us for the afternoon — your continued support and enthusiasm for Deep Woods Estate make this event such a highlight each year. Both wines are now available online: https://lnkd.in/e_2UBnYa #DeepWoodsEstate #FogartyWineGroup #MargaretRiverWine #AustralianWine #COMOTheTreasury #JulianLangworthy #WineTasting #TradeLunch #WesternAustraliaWine

Evans & Tate leads the 2025 Margaret River Wine Show | Evans & Tate has reaffirmed its position as one of Australia’s benchmark producers, taking out Wine of Show at the 2025 Margaret River Wine Show with the 2023 Redbrook Reserve Chardonnay — which also received Best White Wine and Best Chardonnay. In total, the estate collected five trophies, including Best Shiraz and Most Successful Exhibitor, underscoring both the strength of the Redbrook portfolio and the technical excellence of the winemaking team. This is the third time Evans & Tate has secured Wine of Show, following earlier wins for the 2012 Cabernet and 2004 Chardonnay — a rare and enduring record of quality that speaks to decades of investment in viticulture, innovation and people. Senior Winemaker Matt Byrne reflected, “I cherish these moments to celebrate the region and come together as an industry. The 2023 has been the best vintage of my 25 years as winemaker at Evans & Tate.” For the wider Fogarty Wine Group, the results are a powerful endorsement of Margaret River’s capability to produce world-class wines across both white and red varieties, and of the group’s continued commitment to excellence in every detail — from vineyard to glass.

We are proud to share that Evans & Tate’s 2023 Redbrook Estate Shiraz has been awarded the 2025 Saint Martin Oak Great Australian Shiraz Challenge Best Shiraz of Show Trophy, as well as the Winetitles Trophy for Best Western Australian Shiraz. One of Australia’s most prestigious and competitive wine awards, the Great Australian Shiraz Challenge recognises benchmark examples from across 51 regions nationwide. For a Margaret River Shiraz to claim the top title—against the iconic producers of the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale—is a milestone moment not only for Evans & Tate but for Western Australian winemaking. Winemaker Matt Byrne said it best: “It’s an exciting time for Shiraz in Margaret River as vines are maturing and the best sites are rewarding those that know when planted in the right spot, we have the conditions to grow and make world-class Shiraz with genuine diversity of style.” Congratulations to Matt Byrne and the entire Evans & Tate team for this incredible recognition—another proud chapter in the story of Redbrook.
