I spoke to an elderly Melton West couple who say they were left unprotected after police didn’t respond — forcing them to sleep with a knife by their bedside. Their terrifying ordeal is laid bare in my Herald Sun piece. No one should feel this unsafe in their own home. Their story is a stark reminder of what’s at stake as Victoria grapples with a growing crime crisis. Read the full story here > https://bit.ly/48ekNsZ #melbourne #victoria #crime #vicpol

Even as a former boxer turned journo, I never imagined my career in the press would lead to me lacing up the gloves with the legendary Roberto Duran. 🥊 I was lucky enough to interview Duran last week for the Herald Sun and shoot a quick video of the former four division world champion putting one on my chin. After the gloves were off, we chatted about boxing as a tool for keeping youths off the street and who was Duran’s toughest opponent. A huge thank you to the “Hands of Stone” and his team for giving us the time, I reckon he enjoyed knocking this cocky young reporter to the canvas. Read more 🔗 : https://lnkd.in/gNJtUk2M

Half a century since AC/DC filmed their legendary It’s a Long Way to the Top clip on Swanston Street — and today Melbourne brought it back to life in the loudest way possible. 🎸 Filming with Lord Mayor Nick Reece at Fed Square for The Great Melbourne Bagpipe Bash was an absolute blast — where more than 374 pipers came together to smash the world record for the largest ever bagpipe ensemble. Another proud, only-in-Melbourne moment to capture for the Herald Sun. ⚡️ #melbourne #victoria #acdc #fedsquare #worldrecord
