Last weekend, our ALH Hotels teams in WA took part in the Mens Talk AU Swim for Life Relay - a 24-hour team swim, raising vital funds and awareness for men’s mental health. Our swim team brought together hospitality leaders from ALH Hotels #TheAlbionHotel and #TheComoHotel, led by team captain Storme Wall, Venue Manager at #TheComoHotel. Storme first met Paul Litwin, Founder and CEO of Men’s Talk three years ago, and was deeply moved by his mission to support men across Western Australia, a connection that made this cause even more meaningful. Together, we raised an incredible $10,610 for Mens Talk AU, a community organisation in Perth dedicated to transforming the landscape of men’s mental health and wellness. Their aim is to dismantle the stigma that often surrounds this issue, and empower men to lead healthier, happier lives while nurturing a culture of openness and understanding. Fueled by caffeine, community spirit, and a healthy dose of determination, the team powered through the full 24 hours. We’re incredibly proud of our team for going the distance for such an important cause! Find out more about Men’s Talk here https://lnkd.in/gSbM4dHb

We are absolutely thrilled and immensely proud to announce a remarkable collection of wins this week that spotlight the incredible talent and dedication across our entire portfolio. Firstly, Oakridge Wines was named the Champion Victorian Winery at the Melbourne Royal® Wine Awards! This is a phenomenal accomplishment that speaks directly to the quality and enduring legacy of the Victorian wine region, marking the third time Oakridge has achieved this top honour in the last four years. This consistency reflects the tireless work of the entire team in crafting world-class wines. Further cementing our commitment to quality from the ground up, we congratulate Steve Faulkner, Senior Viticulturist for Oakridge Wines, who was announced as ASVO 2025 Viticulturist of the Year last night at the ASVO 2025 Awards for Excellence. Steve’s positive impact on the industry is tangible and genuine, extending to the wider community through his founding of the social media network group Viticulture_Australia over five years ago. The celebrations continue in the world of hospitality at the 2025 AHA & Coca-Cola Hospitality Awards for Excellence in Western Australia, where our ALH Hotels team members were recognised among the state's best. A massive round of applause goes to Martin Lawley, who was named Venue Manager of the Year! We also celebrate #TylaMain, who received a Highly Commended recognition for Rising Star, and #AlexaJoyceUbas who was Highly Commended in the Cookery Services Employee category. With a record 605 nominations this year, these accolades are a true testament to the passion our people pour into exceptional everyday experiences. Congratulations to Martin, Tyla, Alyssa, Steve, and every single person at Oakridge Wines! We are proud to support your commitment to excellence, innovation, and tradition.

On Wednesday night, Dan Murphy's held its final 'Women in Drinks' networking event for 2025 at the iconic Prahran Arcade in Melbourne. The theme of the night was ‘success’ and what that really looks like for women in the drinks industry. Is there a clear path to it? Does it evolve as we grow? And do women experience and measure success differently than men? We gained amazing insights into these questions with our stellar panel of women in the industry: lizzie willans - Brand Ambassador for Four Pillars Gin Belinda Winch - Co-Owner of Long Rays Tarynn Barrie - Brand Ambassador for Brown Family Wine Group and; Hannah Maltby - Senior Winemaker at Mac Forbes Winery It’s fantastic to see so many of our Dan Murphy’s team - and the wider industry - passionate about building a more inclusive and supportive drinks community. A big thank you to our panelists for sharing their stories and celebrating women across the drinks industry!

We're incredibly proud to celebrate the success of our partner, Gotcha4Life Foundation, following their impactful Mental Health Month Lunch at NSW Parliament House last week. The event served as a vital platform for Gotcha4Life Foundation to articulate the profound impact of the Mentally Fit Schools program and the power of prevention when schools, families, and communities work together. We are truly grateful to be a partner in this journey, including our support for Gotcha4Life’s Mental Fitness Gym - a platform giving you easy access to evidence-based tools that help you strengthen your emotional muscles. Our shared vision is clear: a mentally fit future where no one worries alone. Events like this demonstrate the sheer strength and achievement possible when partners and funders unite behind a cause. A huge thank you to the entire Gotcha4Life Foundation team for your continued dedication and for having us there with you. We remain deeply committed to our partnership and look forward to building a mentally fit future, together.

This month, our ALH Hotels pubs across Australia are helping to shine a light on the real impacts of gambling through our engagement with state based awareness campaigns. Last week, #GambleAware Week kicked off in NSW as did Gambling Harm Action Week in SA and this week it’s Gambling Harm Awareness Week in Victoria, culminating today on #YourPlayDay. Across all states, a shared message is clear - it’s important to plan ahead, stay aware of available support, and ask for help when you need it! This aligns closely with our own safer gambling initiative, #WellPlayed, ALH Hotels’s guest-facing program that empowers our teams and guests to have open, informed conversations about gambling. We’re proud to once again support these campaigns across our network of pubs, from hosting local activities to sharing important messages across our venues, our teams are helping make this year’s campaign as impactful and far-reaching as possible. Because the more we raise awareness, the greater difference we can make.

This move marks a significant step forward as we bring our brands, teams and purpose under one dynamic roof. So why does this move matter? It reflects our commitment to “creating a more sociable future, together”, by designing a workspace that fosters connection, creativity and belonging, and enabling greater collaboration and innovation right across all our teams. To our people, partners and customers. Thank you for your support. This move is for you - so we can work, create and connect better than ever. Stay tuned for more updates as we accelerate cross-team projects and launch fresh, customer-led initiatives. It is a bittersweet goodbye to the Reader’s Digest Building in Surry Hills, but here’s to new beginnings, bold ideas and great memories ahead!

As we celebrate International Champagne Day, there’s no better time to raise a glass to Australia’s deep and growing connection with this timeless drop. From just 890,000 bottles in 2001 to over 10.5 million in 2022, Australia’s appetite for Champagne has grown twelve-fold, placing us as the seventh-largest Champagne market globally and one of the most enthusiastic outside Europe. But it’s not just about volume. The real story is evolution. - Taste is maturing: Australians are embracing grower Champagnes, prestige cuvées, rosé, and low-dosage styles. - Premiumisation is rising: While non-vintage Champagne still makes up nearly 90% of imports, prestige cuvées now represent around 6% of total market value, a share that’s steadily climbing. - Diversity is flourishing: Over 340 producers now export to Australia - from iconic houses like Krug, Cristal and Dom Pérignon to artisanal growers redefining luxury from grape to glass. LANGTONS has seen this evolution firsthand through the annual Champagne Showcase, connecting collectors and connoisseurs to the rare, the refined and the remarkable. Champagne continues to prove that no category captures both celebration and sophistication quite like it. Here’s to the bubbles that define our festive season, and to the people who make them unforgettable!

Gus Worland, founder of Gotcha4Life Foundation, joined a group of our incredible ALH Hotels chefs for an inspiring mental fitness session recently. Gus’s message was powerful and simple - real strength comes from connection. By starting genuine conversations, looking out for our mates, and building mental resilience, we can make a real difference in our workplaces and communities. NSW Executive Chef at ALH, Tim Wesley highlighted: “I first attended a Gotcha4Life workshop some years ago, and it really opened my eyes to the power of genuine connection and honest conversation. The message Gus shared about looking out for one another and building real mental fitness truly resonated with me. When I joined ALH, I wanted to continue supporting Gotcha4Life because I strongly believe in what they stand for. Having Gus join us for our Head Chef Development Day was a real highlight - a great reminder of the impact these conversations can have, personally and across our teams." A huge thank you to Gus Worland and the Gotcha4Life Foundation team for the work they do every day to help Australians stay mentally fit!
