  • On this National Agriculture Day, we recognise the resilience and unwavering commitment of Australia's farming communities. As a proud partner of Rural Aid, we’re committed to backing our farmers for the long term. Since 2018, together with our team and customers, we’ve raised over $12 million and recently marked our 200th farm recovery event. This provides vital support in places from Bairnsdale to Coraki, from essential fencing and clearing to a crucial morale boost. Strong rural communities are the backbone of Australian agriculture. We are proud to support Rural Aid and the vital work they do supporting farmers through recovery and beyond. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating and acknowledging our farmers today. #AgDayAU #NationalAgDay #StandWithTheLand #australia #regionalaustralia

At Woolworths we’re working to make recycling rewarding and convenient because that’s what our customers want - for recycling to be easy and worthwhile. We have over 400 container deposit scheme kiosks in Woolworths associated car parks—making it simple to recycle your containers and get money off your shop. Last year alone, the community recycled 1.26 billion containers with one of our recycling partners, TOMRA Collection Australia, generating $126 million in vouchers that could be redeemed for cash, Woolworths groceries or charity donations. We're turning recycling into real value for the communities we serve. TOMRA Collection Australia, Simon Lowden, Rob McCartney, Laurie Kozlovic, Jasmine Medwell (GAICD)

  • We are thrilled to open the Adelaide Central Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC), our first dedicated online fulfilment facility in South Australia. This hub is a direct response to the increasing demand for convenient online grocery shopping in the lead up to Christmas. At this CFC, we are welcoming 400 new team members who are excited to serve our customers. We are deeply proud of the talent joining us, including over 30 First Nations team members and over 30 refugees hired in partnership with SYC Limited and Community Corporate . This focus on inclusive employment is central to our values. Thanks to this newly formed, hard-working team, we'll be able to double our delivery capacity, offer an extended range of over 25,000 products, and launch our largest Direct-to-Boot site in South Australia, helping customers get more of what they need, faster and easier. The facility itself is equipped with charging infrastructure to support our expanding electronic vehicle fleet, underscoring our commitment to future-proofing service for South Australian customers. #WoolworthsGroup #WoolworthsSupermarkets #SouthAustralia #Adelaide

  • At Woolworths Group, our commitment to safety is defined by how we support both the physical safety and the psychological health of our team. Nothing is so important that you can’t take the time to do it safely and reinforcing that is our 5-year partnership with Sonder. It's absolutely okay to ask for help and we want to make sure that every team member and their family feels genuinely supported. We know that unfortunately, our teams are increasingly dealing with aggression and violence in stores. In these difficult moments, or any stressful situation, it's vital to have immediate support. Through the Sonder app, our team can connect confidentially with a registered nurse or health care professional at any time of day and Sonder is able to provide that support where and when it's needed, whether in our stores, sites, offices or virtually. This 5-year anniversary with Sonder is a meaningful moment for us. It reinforces our commitment to building a proactive culture of care, where wellbeing is a genuine priority for everyone. #WoolworthsGroup #Sonder #MentalWellbeing #WorkplaceSafety

  • The safety of our team and customers is a priority for us and that's why we've been calling for more protections to help keep our team safe at work. Unfortunately, we have seen a significant rise in violent and aggressive behaviour in our stores directed towards our team - which is completely unacceptable. Our team members are mothers, fathers, sons and daughters - many of them young people in their first job - and all come to work to help customers. Violence and aggression is rising across the country, but Victoria accounts for more than 40% of all our reported cases - we need this to change. We have invested in increased security measures for our team, such as body worn cameras, personal safety alarms, upgrading CCTV and even use VR modules to train our team to deal with violent incidents in store. But we can't do this alone. That is why we have been advocating to governments across the country to pass laws which protect our team from this kind of abuse. These laws include Workplace Protection Orders, which enable employers to apply to ban repeat offenders from returning to our stores. Recently, our Victorian State Director of Operations, Sarah Gooding as well as two store managers, Madi and Jag joined the ARA and other retailers at the steps of the Victorian Parliament calling for these laws to be introduced by the Government. We’ve seen great steps taken by the ACT and SA with these laws, and we strongly encourage Workplace Protection Orders to be implemented in all other states and territories as soon as possible.

  • We were delighted to celebrate Diwali with our team members across our offices last week! Diwali is a significant festival in Indian culture and celebrates family, hope, and new beginnings. It was truly fantastic to see our teams immerse themselves in the celebration. Our team members hosted vibrant events filled with singing, dancing, and performances and they came together to enjoy delicious food and traditional sweets. Our offices had a colourful Rangoli on display, to welcome good fortune, and at Norwest we had some talented henna artists showing their art. Moments like these reinforce our commitment to diversity and create a workplace where every team member's culture is genuinely supported and celebrated. #WoolworthsGroup #community #Diwali

At Woolworths Group we’re proud to support the diversity and leadership shaping the future of Australia’s rural and agriculture sectors. Last week, we joined the National Farmers' Federation in Canberra to celebrate the graduates of the 2025 Diversity in Agriculture Leadership Program, an important initiative driving greater inclusion and representation across the industry. Congratulations to Vivienne McCollum, Woolworths’ mentee, on graduating as part of this year’s cohort, and thank you to Claire Bremner for representing Woolworths as a mentor in the program. We value our ongoing partnership with the NFF and remain committed to empowering women across regional and rural Australia to grow their leadership and create lasting impact. • This week our WooliesX Finance team dedicated their quarterly Volunteering Day to the Rev. Bill Crews Foundation in Ashfield, NSW. The team came together with a shared desire to help those struggling with homelessness and financial hardship. They spent the day, alongside the Foundation's volunteers, preparing meals, cutting ingredients, and carefully packing 480 hampers full of essential items. It was a truly rewarding and emotional experience for our team members; being there and knowing their work translated into direct support for people in need reinforced the power of showing up for the community. #WoolworthsGroup #WooliesX #community

  • We were delighted to celebrate the Moon Festival with our team members at Norwest last week! Our Cultural Inclusion Committee hosted a celebration bringing team members together for a feast of flavours. The afternoon included a captivating panel interview where leaders shared their experiences celebrating the Moon Festival from their personal lives and an afternoon tea with traditional mooncakes. The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional holidays in Chinese culture, which is also celebrated by many communities across East and Southeast Asia. The festival is a time for family reunion, togetherness and giving thanks for the harvest. It was a wonderful opportunity for team members to connect and experience this special occasion with each other. We're proud to celebrate our team's diverse cultural backgrounds and create a workplace where everyone feels included and supported. #WoolworthsGroup #CulturalInclusion #MoonFestival #MidAutumnFestival #DiversityandInclusion

  • Behind every fresh apple, steak, and carton of milk is the skill and dedication of Australian farmers and regional suppliers. We believe in sourcing locally first, a commitment that not only delivers the best seasonal variety and affordability for our customers but also strengthens regional economies. We're proud to share that 96% of our fresh fruit and vegetables and 100% of our fresh meat, eggs and milk come directly from Australian farms. This is made possible by our 48,000 team members across 530 regional stores. Our relationship with regional Australia goes beyond the products on our shelves, we are proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with more than 3,400 farmers, suppliers and manufacturers, backing innovation and investing in regional communities.
