About us

Previously called Brookfield Rail, Arc Infrastructure is a transport infrastructure manager. The Arc Infrastructure team is made up of committed individuals who respect one another and the communities and environments in which we operate. We are connected through our desire to continually learn and improve and recognise that to achieve this, no one person or team can work without the other. We say what we mean, and we do what we say. We work hard to ensure our people feel safe, valued and fulfilled in the work that they do. Safely connecting WA communities is what we do, and we’re in it for the long haul. Spread across regional WA, our team of more than 500 employees keeps the rail network operating 24/7. We live local, buy local and are committed to contributing to regional communities. We respect and appreciate the role we have in connecting our State to the rest of the country and beyond. We’re committed finding new opportunities that will support and strengthen our rail network and the benefits it delivers to WA and beyond.

  • We're proud to once again be partnering with above-rail and below-rail operators to promote PAE Awareness Week, which runs until 9 November 2025.   A PAE (Proceed Authority Exceedance) refers to a train exceeding the limit of authority.   Our Head of Operations & Customer Management Rod Smith said this year’s campaign is dedicated to emphasizing the importance of maintaining focus – the focus of drivers, our network controllers and anyone interacting with the rail network.   Thanks to all involved for their continued support of the initiative. • This afternoon, Arc was privileged to join the Walk for Reconciliation at Galup (Lake Monger), standing alongside Elders, community members, and other local organisations in a powerful moment of truth telling and respect.   The walk was a moving opportunity to reflect on our shared history, listen deeply to First Nations voices, and reaffirm our commitment to reconciliation. Surrounded by the beauty of Galup, we walked to honour the past, to acknowledge the bravery of those who stood tall and spoke the truth, and to move toward a more inclusive future.   Thank you to Reconciliation WA and everyone who helped create such a meaningful experience. We’re grateful to be part of a journey that continues to inspire learning, connection, and action. #bridgingnowtonext #reconciliationwa #walkforreconciliation

  • We are pleased to be continuing our collaboration with Main Roads Western Australia to deliver a transformative capital works program to improve public level crossings and pedestrian crossings across the freight rail network. The Level Crossing Improvement Program 2024-2029 marks a milestone this week, with the first commissioning of a level crossing at Telegraph Road in Culham. Funded by the State and Federal Governments, the current five-year rolling Level Crossing Improvement Program runs from 2024-2029 and will see 67 level crossings and 16 pedestrian crossings improved to deliver safer road and rail outcomes for the community.    The current program will be delivered through a collaborative model that combines the expertise of external contractors with Arc’s internal capabilities, and we are pleased to be working with third-party contractors MGC Solutions Pty Ltd and Enviro Infrastructure to assist with the delivery of this program.

  • Arc Infrastructure is thrilled to announce our new Principal Partnership with the Clontarf Foundation, committing $60,000 over three years to support their incredible work across Western Australia. This partnership formalises a growing relationship and reflects our long-term commitment to creating meaningful, lasting change in the communities where we operate. We’ve already seen the impact of this partnership through school visits and events like the WA Southern Employment Forum, where our team connected with students from Clontarf Academies to share insights into the rail industry and career pathways. As our GM People, Governance and Risk, Jessica Tiwade, shared: “Our involvement is about more than just showing up, it’s about showing young people what’s possible.” We’re proud to stand alongside Clontarf Foundation in helping young Aboriginal men thrive, in school, in work, and in life.

  • Arc Infrastructure is proud to support WA Mental Health Week (4–11 October) through our Principal Partnership with Lifeline WA This year’s theme, Empowering Communities, Thriving Workforces, aligns with our commitment to improving access to mental health support, especially in regional areas where services can be limited. Through our partnership, Lifeline WA has trained Volunteer Telephone Crisis Supporters who are now sharing their stories to inspire connection and hope. We're also encouraging everyone to check in with themselves and those around them, not just this week, but every day. Mental health matters. Let’s keep the conversation going. #MHW2025 #LifelineWA #mentalhealthawareness

  • Arc Infrastructure is proud to have supported Coorow Primary School with funding for a vibrant new concrete painting in their quadrangle, completed by Midwest signs in August.   The transformation has brought colour and energy to the school grounds. The students now follow the bright exercise trails from the bus to their classrooms each day.   The school shared: “The students love the bright colours and follow the exercise trails as they walk from the bus to the classrooms. Thank you for your generous donation towards this project.” A big thank you to Midwest Signs for bringing the vision to life, and to Coorow Primary School for letting us be part of your journey. #communityinvestment #arcinfrastructure
