Pocket Research Guide
Empower Your Solution and Foster Customer
Forward approach with user research
The Pocket Research Guide is a valuable tool to support
product teams in creating user-centric solutions for Wolters
Kluwer customers. The Pocket Research Guide provides the
workflow for the projects frequently performed by the
teams as a part of product development. The tool also
illustrates the role of DXG User Research assisting product
managers and designers in developing and optimizing new
products.
Here at Wolters Kluwer, we view gathering and analyzing
customer insights as a key to successful and repeatable
innovation. By truly understanding our users, we create a
culture focused on user needs and designing functional and
visually appealing products. Following an inductive
approach to product development by cross-functional
teams results in a smoother, more intuitive user experience,
leading to promising growth. As user research practitioners,
we see the value of the Pocket Research Guide in
standardizing the approach to product development and
fostering product-design-research collaboration delivering
value to many product design teams across the company.
The Research Team collaborated with designers and
product managers to better understand the most typical
projects in product improvement. The UXR Team completed
research with six designers and two product managers
regarding the role of research in their work.

As a result, the four product development workflows were
created:
