Open Innovation in Digital Science
This document discusses open innovation in digital science. It advocates avoiding reinventing existing solutions, as the best ideas are often outside an organization's walls. Existing systems are imperfect and limiting, but changing models of authority and community. Collaboration allows for coauthorship and insights beyond what individuals can achieve alone. Design decisions should incorporate openness and plan for irrational behaviors to create a smarter, open alternative.
