Abstract - The project brings the entire manual process
of Intercollege event management online which is built
using ReactJS as a frontend and MongoDB , NodeJS as a
backend. The main purpose of this project is to simplify the
process of handling each event by providing a web
interface for admin, teachers and students, which will be
all browser and all device compatible. The admin part
consists of multiple modules where admin or the
authorized person need to register the college name to
initiate/create the event by adding the type of
event(indoor or outdoor). System allows admin to add
teachers who will conduct the particular event activity
which is allotted by the admin itself, also can view the
student registration for a particular event and lastly
viewing the results of all event held in college and print
the certificate for the winner. The teacher part has come
up with handling all event related activity by the admin.

1. Introduction
The project has been developed to override the
problems prevailing manual system. This software
eliminate and in some cases to reduce the hardships
faced by writing in the existing system.
This application is to reduced error at the time of
entering the data. It shows a pop up message while
entering an invalid data. No knowledge is needed for the
user to use this systems as it is user-friendly. It can lead
to error free, secure, reliable, and fast management
system.
1.1 Description
We have built our project using NodeJS. It is an open
source, cross-platform runtime environment. It is
written in JavaScript, and we can run within the Node.js
runtime on OS X, Microsoft Windows, and Linux
React is a free open-source front-end JavaScript library
for building user interfaces based on UI components.
React applications usually requires the use of additional
libraries for routing, as well as certain client-side
functionality.
1.2 Problem Formulation
The main problem is to display the events, news updates.
Notice board as only source of Information. There is not
proper scheduling for an event. Students don’t
understand the actual requirement of the event. The
another problem is lining up for passes. It needs more
manpower and also a time consuming process. If the
data is lost there is no way of retrieving back which
issues lack of security.
2. Review of Literature

They have developed a system for events like marriage,
dance show, college festivals etc. as these festivals are
core of our life. The system is developed using Microsoft
Visual Studio as front-end. Only admin can login and
manage the activities. The system provides facility like e-
card creation where they can design the card mail them
to their contacts for invitations

project manager find themselves on a lot of pressure to

developed a software using iterative model. This model
was used because it allows for requirement changing.
The system is developed using HTML, CSS, PHP,
JavaScript.

this paper, they classify the events by comparing it with
event management system. In many cases we must
develop the concepts and sharpen the tools to support

Now-a-days social networking sites and services plays a
vital role in our day-to-day life. In this paper they
present a systematic design to recommending system
and spam filtering. It helps user for an optimizing system
, for those who want to create new event by choosing the
event parameters to make it more popular to other users
who use event management system.
3. Proposed System
In proposed system user will participate event using
online registration. User can get all the details regarding
the event online after login. It also provides error
message while entering the invalid data. It user-friendly.
User can pay online using payment gateway and get e-
pass. Winner will get e-certificate.
4. Requirement Analysis
Requirement analysis in systems engineering and
software engineering encompasses those tasks that go
into determining the needs or conditions to meet for a
new or altered product or project, taking account of the
possibly conflicting requirements of the various
stakeholders, analysis , documenting, validating and
managing software or system requirements.

The block diagrams shows major functional block that
are part of system being described. We have
implemented this project using a new Technology i.e.
ReactJS, NodeJS and MongoDB. Implementation done is
all browser and all device compatible and easy to use
navigation. Our web project functionality is to
coordinates events and provides flexibility to the
coordinator.

8. Conclusion
The proposed system will be useful for communicating
with staff coordinators and students coordinators,
conveying important messages to participants,
exchanging important reports, bills, queries, etc. and
participant students can view and register for events
online. A number of these blessings are centralized
knowledge, E-mail notification, simple use, backups
etc. the employment of this application reduces the
additional time and efforts needed to manage and
monitor the events in college.
