You can check the status of your ad set to help determine if your ads can be displayed to members of your target audience. For an ad to be displayed, the campaign status, ad set status, and ad status must be active.
Here's a tip
| Ad set status | Definition |
|---|---|
| Active | The ad set is active and can display ads to members in your target audience. |
| Draft | The ad set hasn't been launched and isn’t running. You can edit the ad set to finish launching it. |
| Paused | The ad set has been paused and isn't running. You can edit your ad set while it's paused and reactivate it later. |
| Completed | The ad set has reached its end date or lifetime budget and has stopped running. You can reactivate a completed ad set if needed. An ad set might show as completed if the ad set’s daily budget has been reached for the day. If only the daily budget has been reached, the ad set will automatically start running again the next day. |
| Archived | The ad set has been archived and isn’t running. You can only edit conversion tracking on an archived ad set. |
| Deleted | The ad set has been deleted. Once an ad set has been deleted, the action can't be reversed. When you delete an ad set, all ads in that ad set will also be deleted. If you’ve used the ad in other places (for example, if it’s been sponsored or duplicated), it won’t be deleted in those places. |
| Not delivering - Scheduled | The ad set will start displaying ads once the ad set start date is reached. |
| Not delivering - Audience too small | The ad set’s audience size needs to be increased to allow the ad set to run. The minimum audience size is 300 members. |
| Not delivering - No active ads | The ad set can’t display impressions because there are no active ads in the ad set. You can review the status of ads in the ad set or add new ads to the ad set. |
| Not delivering - Campaign is paused | The ad set can’t display impressions because the campaign it’s in is paused. Activate the campaign to allow ad sets to run. |
| Not delivering - Group budget reached | The ad set can’t display impressions because the group budget has been reached. Increase the campaign budget to allow ad sets to run. |
| Not delivering - Campaign scheduled | The ad set can’t display impressions because the campaign start date hasn’t been reached yet. The ad sets will start running once the campaign start date is reached. |
| Not delivering - Account on hold | Your ad set can’t display impressions until the account is no longer on hold. |
