🤖 Breakthroughs in robotics and AI are built through collaboration. At Robotics & AI Discovery Day, this became clearer than ever: behind every innovation is a network of companies that turn complex ideas into real products. The panel titled “Powering Progress: The Business of Supporting Robotics and AI” underscored how essential this business infrastructure is. From suppliers and engineering partners to manufacturing experts and service providers, these teams enable robotics companies to move faster, reduce risk, and scale with confidence. As Chris Matthieu of RealSense shared, “The barrier to entry has never been lower. Every ninety days, the toolchains evolve, models get smaller and more powerful, and anyone can go out and explore and build something new." This rapid evolution makes the support ecosystem more important than ever, ensuring teams can adopt new technologies quickly and bring innovations to market with greater speed and reliability. Panelists included Matt Beale (Daedalus), Brian Beyer (Hellbender Inc.), and Chris Matthieu (RealSense), with moderation by Sahil Potnis (Digital Divide Data (DDD). Thank you to each speaker for sharing their experience and for demonstrating the essential role this ecosystem plays in advancing robotics and AI innovation. 💡 🎥 Watch the full panel conversation and explore insights shaping the robotics & AI ecosystem: https://buff.ly/A1iXMBf 👋 Join us next year to exhibit in 2026: https://buff.ly/iMbl5Kl

Build Where the Robots Already Are If you’re building in robotics, you need more than funding—you need a community that understands what it takes to turn a prototype into a product. Pittsburgh has one of the highest concentrations of roboticists and robotics companies in the world. According to the Pittsburgh Robotics Network, the region has 125+ robotics and AI companies and more than 7,300 high-impact jobs across 18 industries—from manufacturing and logistics to health and defense. This density means you’ll find peers, partners, and talent who understand the challenges of hardware and autonomy from day one . At AlphaLab Robotics and Robotics Factory founders gain access not only to investment and mentorship but also to a production-grade prototype shop, a robot lab, and the experience of builders who’ve scaled successful robotics companies from this city . Applications open this spring. If you’re building something that moves the world forward, this is where to start. There is a certain energy in Pittsburgh when innovators gather, and the Collaborative Robotics Leadership Roundtable made that clear from the first conversation. Hosted by Johnson Electric and ESTAT Actuation, the session brought together leaders from industrial robotics, humanoids, AMRs, robotic arms, and component manufacturers. Participants explored recent safety standards, emerging hardware options, and how these developments can enable faster, safer, and more cost-effective systems. Discussions covered hardware-driven safety, longevity, and performance, along with case studies that highlighted strategies for extending system life, reducing costs, increasing speed, and improving safety. Pittsburgh Robotics Network extends our thanks to the hosts, Kirby Witte and Adam Stienecker, for uniting such a broad spectrum of voices and creating space for meaningful collaboration. We are equally grateful to moderators Tasha Miller, Carlos Richardson, Ritch Ramey, Anthony Gioia, and Stuart Diller for guiding the conversation with clarity and intention and helping shape a productive and forward-looking dialogue. 👋 Join us next year to exhibit in 2026: https://buff.ly/iMbl5Kl Pittsburgh Robotics Network | Innovation Works | Robotics Factory | Allegheny Conference on Community Development | Pittsburgh Region.
