We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer! Healthcare communication is broken—half of patient calls go unanswered while providers drown in administrative work. At Clarion, we're building AI agents that complete entire workflows, returning time to clinicians and increasing patient access. We're looking for a technical leader who thrives in high-stakes healthcare environments. As our Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll own end-to-end deployment of AI agents in production while architecting the systems that power them. Some highlights: - Lead deployment of AI agents in live healthcare environments, owning performance, reliability, and customer success - Architect systems that integrate with complex EHRs and legacy platforms while handling thousands of concurrent voice calls - Drive technical strategy by working directly with customers to understand their workflows, then translate those insights into scalable solutions - Mentor engineers and shape our technical roadmap as we scale to hundreds of healthcare organizations You'll work with our founders (Stanford/Harvard-trained physician + ex-Amazon Alexa engineer) at our NYC office. If you're a senior engineer who builds with intensity and takes full ownership of systems in mission-critical environments, we'd love to hear from you! Application link in comments.

Clarion is the AI communication layer for healthcare.
About us
At Clarion, we’re building the AI communication layer for healthcare, enabling every clinic to streamline operations and making it effortless for patients to access and receive care. We do this by building voice AI agents that answer every patient call 24/7, handling scheduling, refills, and billing questions with natural conversations. Practices that work with us see a 71% reduction in admin staff costs, 59% decrease in avg hold time for incoming calls, and 50% reduction in no-shows and cancellations. We've raised $5.5M from top tier investors, handled millions of patient interactions, and have customers across virtual care companies, health systems, and a $5B health insurer. At a conference last week, I met a GI doctor who vibe-coded his own AI agent to communicate with his patients. He was tired of canceled procedures because patients didn't follow their colonoscopy prep instructions, so between cases, he built a basic AI voice agent. It worked. Patients got answers in their language, compliance improved, and procedures stopped getting canceled. Yet, the agent wasn’t fully integrated with his existing systems. He was still toggling between his agent and EHR, manually documenting everything, and spending time on admin work instead of patient care. While I admire this GI doctor’s ingenuity to solve his own problem, it’s never been easier to build compelling demos of AI agents. The hard part is ensuring these tools can handle tasks across existing systems of record and complete full workflows end-to-end. At Clarion, we're building for physicians like him. This means ensuring that our agents integrate seamlessly with EHRs and existing tools, so that we free up clinical staff to spend more time supporting patients.

Earlier this fall, we took our team of 7 to the Catskills for three days to answer one question: what kind of company are we trying to build? We used Jim Collins’ Vision Framework from Beyond Entrepreneurship. It breaks vision into three distinct pieces: - Core Values and Beliefs: an authentic representation of the principles you hold inside. They're who you are, not who you aspire to be. - Purpose: the fundamental reason for your company’s existence. A strong purpose guides you, but is never fully achieved. - Mission: a clear and compelling goal that serves as a focal point of effort. Unlike your purpose, a good mission has a finish line. It sounds straightforward, but working through this as a team allowed us to get to know each other better and leave with a shared 10-year vision for Clarion. If you're early and growing, I highly recommend taking a step back and defining your company vision with your team.

Every engineer we hire has to pass two tests: technical competency and customer conversations. We only bring on engineers we'd trust to represent Clarion in front of clinical partners. This filters for people who can both build and communicate what they're building. One of our engineers was a founder who did his own sales. Another spent two years at McKinsey in customer-facing roles before switching to engineering full-time. The result is engineers who build with actual customer problems in mind, versus theoretical requirements. They hear feedback directly and iterate faster because they understand the context. When your engineers talk to customers regularly, the gap between what gets built and what actually solves problems shrinks dramatically. And, at our stage, we can't afford to have technical teams building in isolation - we believe customer proximity should be a core competency for every role. That's the bar we're hiring against right now. If you're an engineer who’s excited to build this way, let's talk!

We're hiring a Business Development Representative! Healthcare communication is broken—30-40% of patient calls go unanswered while providers drown in administrative work. At Clarion, we're building AI agents that complete entire workflows, returning time to caregivers and increasing patient access. We’re looking for someone to be Clarion's first voice to the market. As our BDR, you'll own top-of-funnel pipeline generation and be the first person healthcare organizations meet when they discover Clarion. Some highlights: - Drive qualified pipeline through multi-channel outbound (cold calls, LinkedIn, email) to health systems and specialty groups - Run sharp discovery calls to understand operational challenges and advance opportunities - Partner with our AE to move strategic deals forward - Build and refine our outbound strategy as you learn what resonates with healthcare buyers You'll work with our founders (Stanford/Harvard-trained physician + ex-Amazon Alexa engineer) at our NYC office. If you're a gritty, metrics-driven seller who's motivated by improving patient access, we'd love to hear from you! Application link in comments.

Clarion is heading to Chicago for Becker's Healthcare CEO + CFO Roundtable next week (Nov 3-6). Health system leaders are navigating unprecedented margin pressure while trying to expand access and keep staff from burning out. When patient calls go unanswered across your system, the impact compounds: appointments don't get scheduled, revenue leaks, no-show rates climb, and recruiting front-desk staff becomes a never-ending battle. At Clarion, we help health systems handle thousands of patient interactions daily across scheduling, prescription refills, and billing inquiries, all without adding administrative staff. The result is consistent access across every location, measurable improvements in revenue capture, and clinical teams that can focus on care delivery instead of phones. If you're at Becker's, Ryan Gallagher, MD, Daria Schitrit, and Rebekah Turner would love to connect and share what we're seeing across health systems nationwide. Find us at Booth #317!

We're excited to be at Thrive in Nashville next week (Nov 3-5). Practices using athenahealth are already thinking about smarter workflows. The next frontier is ensuring every patient interaction strengthens the business, rather than just adding work. When calls are handled reliably and scheduling runs smoothly, practices see measurable improvements in access, revenue, and staff satisfaction. At Clarion, we're bringing voice AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing workflows and deliver real operational impact. Ryan Gallagher, MD, Jeffrey Lamothe, and Srujay Korlakunta will be at Thrive talking about what voice AI can do when it's done right. Reach out if you're interested in learning more!
