The Ophelia team is at this year's National Association of Medicaid Directors (NAMD) conference, yo-yos included. Being in the conversation about where Medicaid is headed is core to our work, and we’re here to contribute. Emily Thorsen Lexie Minarik Arthur Robin Williams MD

Come spend a day with Ashley Mazei, one of our Community Partnership Managers! Our Community Partnership Managers (CPM for short) go out into different communities and make connections with local groups, like clinics, recovery centers, or community programs, so more people struggling with opioid addiction can find and use Ophelia’s online treatment. Another amazing time at the AMERSA conference with wonderful Ophelia colleagues and friends! Connections, support, and inspiration from all corners of the substance use education, research, clinical care, and policy realms. Exciting to represent Ophelia as an integral part of this community, and come together to appreciate and engage in the work we all do!

When food assistance programs are disrupted, the impact goes far beyond the dinner table. It can make staying healthy and focused on treatment even harder. We’ve started to gather a list of trusted resources so no one has to face that gap alone. As new centers open or expand their services, we’ll make sure they’re included here. https://lnkd.in/ehV563Dk

For too many, treatment often starts with a wait list. There aren’t enough beds, or there simply aren’t enough providers. At Ophelia, our virtual model makes access more flexible. Most patients are able to get an appointment within just a few days, not weeks, and begin care from wherever they are. It’s a simple change with a profound impact: opening the door to care when people need it most.

A recent paper asks "What happens when a patient's buprenorphine prescriber closes up shop?" Its findings underscore just how important access to treatment is, especially in rural areas. Ophelia's care model is 100% virtual, removing barriers like transportation, childcare and provider shortages. "When we lose providers, we lose patients." https://lnkd.in/dJhVUmqt
