Shaping the Future of Tourism in Greece 🚢 Yesterday in Athens, our Executive Chairman, Pierfrancesco Vago, joined the Reimagine Tourism summit to discuss how we can work together to create lasting positive impact for Greece’s tourism sector. Mr. Vago shared our commitment to investing in local communities and supporting tourism beyond main destinations. In 2026, we will sail to more than twenty Greek ports, ensuring the benefits of cruising reach a wider range of communities and help boost the national economy. He shared how we are actively developing new ways to manage visitor flows, reduce overcrowding, and make every visit memorable for guests and communities. With ongoing investment in innovative ships and sustainable practices, the message was clear that we are helping Greece build a resilient and dynamic future for tourism. “By working together, we can create a tourism model that benefits communities, supports growth, and strengthens Greece’s position as a leading hub in the Mediterranean.” #MSCCruises Kathimerini Live

Today at Chantiers de l'Atlantique, where our 20-year partnership continues to shape the future of shipbuilding, we celebrated a remarkable day: three grand milestones for our MSC World Class ships. ⚓ The Float Out of MSC World Asia The moment a ship first touches water, when years of design, skill, and dedication finally meet the sea, marking the start of the next phase of construction. 🪙 The Coin Ceremony of MSC World Atlantic A long-standing shipbuilding tradition where two godmothers place coins within the ship’s foundation, blessing her with good fortune and safe passage. Even in an age of innovation, seafaring continues to honour its timeless traditions, a gesture of respect for the ocean. 🚢 And then came an unexpected highlight Amid the celebrations came the announcement of two new World Class ships, numbers 7 and 8, extending our partnership with Chantiers de l’Atlantique and bringing our total investment in the French shipbuilding industry this year to nearly €7 billion. “Today was a proud moment for MSC Cruises and Chantiers de l’Atlantique as we celebrate these important milestones for our future. The World Class platform is a symbol of our vision to set new standards for the future of cruising. We look forward to continuing with our innovative and successful collaboration with Chantiers de L’Atlantique – our long-term partner for more than 20 years.” — Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman, MSC Group’s Cruise Division Built with precision. Blessed by tradition. Imagined for the future. 🌍 Discover more about this new chapter in our press release → https://lnkd.in/eYxN7K97 #MSCCruises

🌍 From the Mediterranean to New York — connecting to shore power around the world. In the past month, MSC Group’s Cruise Division has reached new milestones on its shore power journey, with five ships successfully completing test and operational connections across four ports and four countries on two continents. Following consecutive operational and test connections by MSC World Europa and EXPLORA II in Valletta, MSC Seaview and MSC Poesia successfully completed test connections in La Spezia and Le Havre respectively. Then this weekend MSC Meraviglia became our first ship to test the connection to shore power in New York. Each shore power connection allows ships to switch off their engines, eliminating direct emissions and improving local air quality while berthed. With 18 ships now shore power enabled and all new builds delivered with shore power capability, we continue our retrofit programme to further expand access across the fleet. These milestones reflect our commitment to sustainability, partnering with ports worldwide to improve local air quality and harness advanced technology as we work towards achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Congratulations to the MSC Foundation and Mercy Ships on the launch of Africa Mercy II, a hospital ship that will deliver essential medical care to communities across Africa. Every mile it sails will touch lives, bring healing and hope - one voyage at a time ⚓
Yesterday in Guangzhou, China, a new chapter began. The steel cutting ceremony of the #AfricaMercyII marked the start of a vessel that will bring medical care and hope to coastal communities across Africa. Our partnership with Mercy Ships began more than a decade ago, guided by a shared belief that we all have the duty to leave a better world for future generations. We committed to supporting the construction of this new hospital ship in 2024, and we’re now proud to see it taking shape — a tangible sign of what collaboration can achieve at sea. As Don Stephens reminds us, “If you want to go far, you go together.” We’re proud to be sailing towards this milestone with you. 🌍 Another key milestone on our pathway towards net zero emissions by 2050. This week, MSC World Europa and EXPLORA II both connected to shore power at Valletta’s Grand Harbour on consecutive days – marking a first for MSC Group’s Cruise Division. The milestone, celebrated in the presence of Malta’s Prime Minister, Dr Robert Abela, and senior government officials, underscores our shared commitment to cleaner port operations, eliminating local emissions and improving local air quality. Since the inauguration of the facility in 2024 – when MSC World Europa became the first vessel to use the facility – MSC Cruises’ ships have spent about 300 hours connected to shore power in Valletta, eliminating half a month’s worth of local emissions that would have otherwise been produced while berthed. With 18 vessels now equipped across the MSC Cruise Division with shore-side electricity capability, we’re continuing to expand our shore power programme across Europe and beyond. 🔗 Discover how partnership and innovation in Malta are powering our next steps toward net zero emissions: https://lnkd.in/eBGiHBQj Explora Journeys #MSCCruises #ExploraJouneys
