The notes were issued by CSSC Capital 2015 Limited. CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited is a leading ship leasing company and the first shipyard-affiliated leasing company in Greater China. This transaction follows a series of issuances completed in 2025 where the KWM debt capital markets team acted as international counsel on significant issuances by Chinese financial institutions and central SOEs. These deals highlight KWM’s deep expertise in cross-border capital markets and its continued role as a trusted legal advisor in complex, high-value transactions. KWM acted as English and Hong Kong law counsel to the arrangers and dealers. The HK$100 million credit facility, provided by Chong Hing Bank Limited and supported by Ant Digital Technologies’ Jovay Layer2 blockchain, will be used by Towngas’ subsidiary Towngas Telecom (TGT) to develop AI data centres, AIoT solutions, and cross-border infrastructure. This pioneering transaction builds on KWM’s market-leading experience in tokenisation, blockchain-enabled finance, and digital asset transactions across Asia. KWM provided end-to-end legal support, including transaction structuring and preparation of a Loan Tokenisation Agreement.
