Big milestone towards home-grown sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) ✈️ Today the NSW Government has released its Renewable Fuel Strategy. With $130 million in funding to support commercial-scale production, NSW is positioning itself as a leader in renewable fuels. Handling around 40% of Australia’s aviation fuel, #SydneyAirport is perfectly positioned to be the home of #SAF. We commend Premier Chris Minns and Minister Penny Sharpe for driving this momentum and look forward to working together to make it happen.

While most travellers won’t notice, a major upgrade is happening beneath the surface! ✈️ Micro-tunnelling is underway in the South-West sector to install a new fuel line from T1 International. This critical infrastructure will unlock seven new bays equipped with in-ground fuel, pre-conditioned air, and ground power, paving the way for more wide-body aircraft and future growth. The project is set to complete in under 2 years. Mark Burrows Nine Paul Willis Scott Charlton Rob Carr Pty Ltd

𝑰𝒏 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑱𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒔 Today, a memorial bench at Shep's Mound has been unveiled honouring our dear colleague and friend, Jake Anastas, who we lost just over a year ago in an aircraft accident around Sydney's south-west. Jake’s passion for aviation was at the heart of everything he did. This bench, created by his family, friends and colleagues, is a tribute to that passion and ensures his spirit remains part of the airport community he cared for so deeply. Jake is remembered with love and missed by all of us at Sydney Airport.
