We’re proud to be the team behind the design and delivery of the Pride Professionals Mentoring Program, one of ORGsight’s flagship initiatives for supporting inclusive workplaces through structured, meaningful mentoring. Last year, we proudly supported 50 mentees across Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane, delivering 12 events that brought our mentoring community together across the three states. 2024 was our second year in Brisbane, where we welcomed a new cohort of incredible mentors, including the CEO and CFO of Thiess. We also expanded into Melbourne for the first time, a milestone made possible by the generous support of key partners, including Compass Group Australia, Gilbert + Tobin, Crown Resorts, Veriu Group | Veriu Hotels & Suites | Punthill Apartment Hotels and JLL. This year, we kicked things off with the 2025 Brisbane launch hosted at Thiess HQ. While every cohort is special, Brisbane is, without question, the most challenging of all the Pride Professionals programs. We see more mentees here who are not out at work than in any other location. It's harder to find sponsors to secure professional development support, and our mentees often face greater barriers to participation. Many organisations don’t have visible LGBTQ+ employee groups. For some, workplaces are not safe spaces to show up authentically. And yet - this is why we do what we do! Through mentoring, we see mentees finding strength and connection, growing confidence, and individuals stepping into their identities, careers, and communities with a sense of belonging and pride. It’s not just mentoring. It’s visibility. It’s community. It’s change. A heartfelt thank you to our 2025 Brisbane mentors, who generously volunteer their time and experience to support the next wave of LGBTQ+ professionals: Lisa Baptista Mason McManus Rob Gold Vanessa Pain (CMgr, CPMgr, AAICD, MIML) Liam Ringelstein Luke Butler Hayden Forsyth Rachel Broun (Durdin) Martin Tebbutt Stephen Thompson Amy Copley. And to the 2025 Brisbane program sponsors BHP, Rio Tinto, Thiess, JLL and CoreLogic Australia, your leadership and support make this program possible. 🌈 2025 Brisbane Pride Professionals Mentoring Program Launch Last week, we officially launched the 2025 Brisbane program and welcomed our new cohort of mentees and mentors into the Pride Professionals community. A big thank you to Thiess for your continued support since our first Brisbane launch in 2023, and for once again hosting both our orientation and launch event. We appreciated the reflections shared by Mark Lynch, Thiess Group Executive – Commercial, Strategy & Sustainability, who spoke about Thiess’ commitment to inclusion and belonging. Libby Davis, Group Lead – Organisational Development, brought valuable perspectives on building strong mentoring relationships—with a few memorable Yoda quotes that struck a chord. Gabe Williams, 2023 program alumnus and now Alumni Committee member, spoke about his experience in the program and his passion for creating safe, inclusive spaces in the workplace. 🙏 Thank you to our sponsors and partners who make this program possible: ✨ Gold Sponsors: Rio Tinto and BHP 🎉 Event Sponsors: Thiess, JLL, CoreLogic Australia 📚 Scholarship Sponsors: BHP and JLL A special shout-out to Alumni Committee members Hayden Forsyth, Luke Butler, and Gabe Williams for their support in delivering orientation and welcoming our new cohort.
