Nine-year-old Kaiden Rogers bravely lives with Duchenne muscular dystrophy – a condition that has taken away his ability to walk. For Kaiden and his mum Maddison, that’s meant relying on costly taxi trips to get around. Thanks to Western Australian Motor Industry Foundation Inc (Wheels for Hope), Telethon7 and MinRes, Maddison now has the keys to a brand new wheelchair-accessible van giving her and Kaiden the freedom to travel safely and comfortably together. This van is one of two purchased with the support of MinRes’ contributions to Telethon, helping WA families when they need it most. Learn more about Kaiden’s journey at our website. We’re pleased to welcome the MV SG Horizon to our Onslow Iron anchorage for the first time. This brand new Newcastlemax vessel has been chartered directly from shipyard owner NYK and will be dedicated to Onslow Iron for a year, undertaking 12 consecutive voyages. After departing Japan last month, SG Horizon has now arrived ready to load around 209,000 metric tonnes of product. In December, her sister vessel – MV SG Lagoon – will join the fleet for the first of 22 consecutive voyages. Both vessels feature dual-fuel LNG/marine fuel technology, supporting more flexible and lower-emission operations. Learn more about Onslow Iron at our website. Link in the comments.

MinRes has signed a binding agreement with POSCO Holdings to form a new incorporated joint venture that will support the continued growth of our world‑class lithium business. The new entity will hold MinRes’ existing 50% interests in the Wodgina and Mt Marion lithium operations and assets, of which POSCO Holdings will acquire a 30% interest for US$765 million. Under the terms of the agreement, MinRes will continue to operate both mines in line with current joint venture arrangements with Albemarle Corporation at Wodgina and Ganfeng Lithium at Mt Marion. This partnership affirms the quality of our lithium portfolio and supports POSCO Holdings’ ambitions in downstream battery chemicals supply. Full details are available at our website. Congratulations to MinRes Metallurgy Manager Lee van der Meulen, who has been named a finalist for the Technology Award in the 2025 CME Women in Resources Awards. Lee's recognition follows her significant effort taking our Ken’s Bore laboratory from concept through to commissioning. As Australia’s first semi‑automatic mining laboratory, the facility has already delivered significant benefits to the Onslow Iron project – doubling sampling capacity to 500 per day and streamlining repetitive and manual processes. Well done, Lee, and best of luck in the awards!
We're excited to announce the finalists for the 2026 CME Women in Resources Awards! ✨ Across seven categories, our Women in Resources Awards celebrate the industry trailblazers who are driving innovation, championing diversity and inclusion, and helping more women get involved in mining. A huge congratulations to the 18 individuals and three companies who are our finalists this year. We look forward to celebrating with you at our WIRA dinner on 13 March at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. To find out more about the 2026 WIRA finalists, visit https://lnkd.in/g7pPuT5s
