Newmont Cadia was proud to celebrate a year of growth, learning and connection at the WIMnet NSW Mentoring Program close-out event in Sydney! 🌟 As proud 2025 program sponsors, Cadia provided 15 mentors and mentees to this award-winning initiative, which connects women at all career stages with experienced industry leaders to grow, learn, and thrive. Do you know what this is - and why our teams at Newmont Cadia and Tanami never go underground without one? It’s an Oxygen Self-Rescuer - a compact, life-saving device designed to provide immediate oxygen in emergency situations underground. Housed in a tough stainless-steel container and worn on a belt, self-rescuers can be activated in seconds and deliver 20 to 100 minutes of oxygen, depending on a person’s breathing rate. At Newmont, safety is our top priority. While we hope it’s never needed, tools like this are just one way we’re looking after our people below the surface. #MiningSafety #UndergroundMining #NewmontCadia #NewmontTanami #SelfRescuer

Drillin’ in the Deep with Safety that Rocks 🪨💪 Ever wondered how tunnels are built and supported deep underground for mining? ⛏️ At Newmont Australia, we use development drills at our underground sites to do more than just create tunnels – they also help us install vital ground support that keeps our people safe. 🦺💪 Also known as jumbo drills, these powerful rigs 🚜 are used to drill precise patterns of holes for blasting 💥, allowing us to safely expand declines, drives (horizontal tunnels), and crosscuts (connecting tunnels). But their work doesn’t stop there – they’re also used to drill holes for bolts, mesh, and other ground support systems that stabilise the rock after blasting. ⚙️🪛 Usually equipped with two booms (mechanical arms), development drills are essential to building and maintaining safe, productive underground mines. 🏗️🌏 #UndergroundMining #NewmontTanami #NewmontCadia #DevelopmentDrill #JumboDrill

Yapa Crew – 10 Years Strong at Tanami For the past 10 years, the Yapa Crew has been an essential part of life at Newmont Tanami — supporting site services, land management, cultural heritage, and Traditional Owner engagement. “Yapa” means Aboriginal people in Warlpiri, and the crew’s name reflects their deep connection to Country. The program provides training and employment pathways for Warlpiri and nearby community members, combining practical skills with cultural knowledge. Managed in partnership with GreenGlass, the Yapa Crew continues to create opportunities for local people to work on their own land — building skills, confidence, and lasting careers. #NewmontTanami #YapaCrew #FirstNationsEmployment #MiningCareers

Big Ideas. Bold Conversations. Newmont at IMARC 2025 Newmont was proud to be a key sponsor of this year’s International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) in Sydney - the world’s leading forum for mining collaboration, innovation, and sustainability. Our representatives joined several discussions shaping the future of mining: 🎤 Nick Stokes, Director, Supply Chain Operations, PNG – Keynote panellist on Strategic Sourcing and Operational Excellence Initiatives Across the Supply Chain. 🤝 Danica Tyrrell, Senior Site Asset Operations Centre Analyst – spoke at the NextGen Leaders Program Meet & Greet, connecting with emerging industry leaders. 🌟 Newmont was also proud to sponsor the NextGen CoRE Learning Gamification Zone, supporting hands-on learning opportunities for the next generation of mining professionals. It was fantastic to see our graduates and early-career professionals connecting, learning, and representing Newmont throughout the event. As one Cadia Graduate Geologist described it: “One of the best highlights from my career to date. The days were full-on learning and networking with some of the brightest minds in the industry.” Highlights of the event included trying out amazing new technologies — such as VR truck simulators — participating in the NextGen Program round tables and even getting to hold a solid gold bar! #IMARC2025 #MiningInnovation #Sustainability #FutureOfMining #NextGenLeaders

🌏 How to get to Newmont Tanami - Australia’s most remote mine site 🚗✈️🚌 Not many people will ever experience the vast beauty of the Tanami Desert – but for Newmont Australia’s FIFO workforce, the journey is an adventure in itself. It all starts before sunrise, with a car, taxi, or even public transport to one of the departure points at Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth, or Brisbane airports. From there, it’s a short charter flight into the heart of Australia, soaring over some of the most breathtaking and remote landscapes in the country. Touch down on the Tanami airstrip and your adventure continues – a bus winds its way along the iconic red-dirt roads to the village, where the desert horizon seems to stretch forever. From sunrise departures to the iconic red-dirt roads, the journey to Tanami – located about 540 kilometres northwest of Alice Springs – is as extraordinary as the site itself. #NewmontTanami #Tanami #FIFOlife #MiningJourney

Representatives from Newmont Cadia attended the NSW Mining Annual Parliamentary Dinner last week at NSW Parliament House — an event celebrating the hardworking people and responsible mining practices that power our state. We were especially proud to see Newmont Cadia apprentice boilermaker Jesse Siret take the stage as a guest speaker, joining MC Lehmo to share his story with Members of Parliament, ministers and industry leaders. Jesse spoke about his work, life in Orange, and his experience as a mature-aged apprentice, offering a personal and inspiring insight into the people and opportunities that make our industry strong now and well into the future. Our silver sponsorship of this important event continues our support for the growth and recognition of mining in NSW. 🌏 From Ecuador to Cadia: Empowering the next generation of Women in Mining Over the past two weeks, Newmont Cadia has welcomed two geotechnical engineers from Women in Mining WIM ECUADOR for a two-week internship. Johanna Criollo and Mayelin Cabascango, recipients of the “Soy Bilingüe” (I am bilingual) scholarship program, completed a 16-week English language course in Brisbane before arriving at Cadia. Supported through a partnership between WIM Ecuador and Newmont Ecuador S.A., the initiative combines language training with practical, hands-on experience at a Newmont operation in Australia. Yesterday, Cadia hosted a special site tour for Johana and Mayelin, joined by Iliana Rodriguez, President of Women in Mining Ecuador, and Manuela Fernandez De Cordova, Deputy Head of Mission for the Embassy of Ecuador in Australia. During their tour, the women explored Cadia’s Remote Operations Centre, surface operations, ore processing and Site Asset Operations Centre. The visit also featured a great cultural exchange, with Adam Brown (Metallurgy) using his Spanish language skills to connect with the group. We’re proud to support the next generation of women in mining and strengthen global connections across Newmont’s operations. #NewmontCadia #WomenInMining #WIMEcuador #GlobalPartnerships

At Newmont Boddington, we’re proud to help protect three iconic and threatened Western Australian species — Carnaby’s, Baudin’s, and Forest Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos. These striking birds feed, roost and breed across our tenements and surrounding Jarrah forest. Through our Black Cockatoo Management Plan, we’re working to avoid, minimise and offset potential impacts on their habitat — both during operations and after mine closure. Our actions include: 🪶 Protecting key conservation and breeding areas. 🌱 Designing rehabilitation with native food and nesting trees. 💧 Providing safe fauna watering sites. Every step helps these unique species continue to thrive in the southwest forests for generations to come. #NewmontBoddington #EnvironmentalStewardship #Biodiversity #BlackCockatoo
