WA Relief & Recovery Fund Update The Bibbulmun Fund (BF) has been a proud contributor to the Fremantle Foundation's WA Relief & Recovery Fund (WARRF), which was established in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, WARRF has expanded its response to devastating natural disasters. Along with significant gifts from the Paul Ramsay Foundation and other community donors, including the Bibbulmun Fund, the Fremantle Foundation has raised over $1.14m for the WARRF. While most of the funds had already been dispersed before the 2023/2024 financial year, we are pleased to share that the small reserve of $150,000 has been distributed to four community projects based in Fitzroy Crossing. As reported in the Fremantle Foundation's Annual Story 2023-2024, "This included the Yajilarra Festival, which was enjoyed by an enthusiastic crowd enjoying music, arts and culture, a much-needed reprieve from the devasting floods." "Gurama Yani U, the Fitzroy Valley Men’s Shed, received funding support for their Indigenous Employment Support Initiative, providing pathways to sustainable employment and capability building." "We again extended funding to Foundation for Indigenous for Sustainable Health to secure an operational vehicle to help deliver essential supplies to remote communities." "The final group to receive funding was the Marninwarntikura Women’s Resource Centre (MWRC). MWRC operate the much-loved community-based Marnin Studio. The studio is a therapeutic healing space for women to gather to create, learn and relax." We are honoured to be a part of giving back through the Fremantle Foundation's WA Relief & Recovery Fund.

Kulbardi recognises National Apology Day National Apology Day in Australia is observed on February 13 every year in Australia. It is a national day commemorating the first-ever national apology made by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in 2008 to initialise the Australian federal government’s rehabilitation, justice, and reconciliation agenda for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and the tens of thousands of Aboriginal children who were forcibly removed from their families during Australia’s assimilation era. #aboriginalbusiness #nationalapologyday

The Bibbulmun Fund is truly honoured to be able to support the Crows on Country STEM Footy Program
Truly blessed to be able to do what I do. Another amazing and successful trip out to the beautiful Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankuntjatjara (APY) delivering the Adelaide Crows Foundation, Crows on Country-STEM Footy program to the amazing students at Pipalyatjara Anangu school. Joined by staff and players from the Adelaide Football Club, we were also privileged to be able to share in a cultural immersion experience searching for ‘Maku’ with the students, teachers and Anangu Educators. Programs like these aren’t possible without the support of amazing organisations like the Anangu Community Foundation and Bibbulmun Fund. Celebrating the New Bibbulmun Fund Scholar for 2025 We’re passionate about creating opportunities that empower individuals to reach their full potential. As a Gold Partner of The Pinnacle Foundation, we are thrilled to announce this year’s Bibbulmun Fund Scholar: Eve Walker, a proud Gumbaynggirr-Yuin woman from Wollongong. Eve, who recently completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, will embark on her honours year at the University of Wollongong in 2025, supported by The Bibbulmun Fund Scholarship. Her dream of becoming a clinical psychologist specialising in Indigenous youth mental health is truly inspiring and aligns with our shared commitment to fostering leadership and inclusion. We also would like to take this moment to congratulate past Bibbulmun Fund Scholar Brayden Cockroft on completing his Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and beginning a Master of Secondary Education in 2025. His dedication to improving student outcomes and creating inclusive educational spaces reflects the enduring impact of The Bibbulmun Fund. Eve and Brayden, your achievements inspire us all. Congratulations on your incredible journeys — we are excited to see the positive change you will bring to your communities and beyond! To read the full post, click here: https://lnkd.in/gaw2kAMM
