COMPANY CULTURE
The personality of the company
Linked to:
• Employee engagement
• Productivity
• Job satisfaction
• Retention rates
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT & ONBOARDING
• Engagement is typically highest during onboarding
• A strong onboarding process improves retention by 82%
and productivity by over 70%
• During onboarding, the new hire is introduced to:
• Company policies
• Procedures
• “How we do things around here”
• Culture
LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
• We think of these as digital tools for training
on skills and procedures.
• We can also capitalize on the LMS to
strengthen company culture, since this is a
tool that can reach across the organization
and help unify employees.
• How? Through custom content.
• If we think of culture as a company’s
personality, we can instill that personality
into the custom content.
• Every company has procedures unique
to themselves
• Instead of off-the-shelf trainings, consider
customizing them with specific examples
or scenarios unique to your organization
ADDING CULTURE TO CONTENT
MAINTAINING HIGH ENGAGEMENT
Continue to emphasize your mission, vision, and values
Communicate how the employee’s work contributes to the organization
Personalize content as much as possible
WHAT YOUR LMS CAN HELP ACCOMPLISH
• Unify your workforce
• Motivate your employees
• Increase satisfaction and productivity among staff
• Improve retention rates
• Attract top talent
LEARNING MANAGEMENT IS JUST ONE TOOL…
When used appropriately, an LMS can help enhance
your organization’s culture.
However, it is just one tool to help strengthen culture.
More is needed to create your company culture.
