This document examines the connectivity and skills profiles of workers in 5 regional Australian cities - Townsville, Sunshine Coast, Greater Newcastle, Wollongong, and Launceston - based on data from LinkedIn. It finds that each city has between 30-39% of their working population on LinkedIn. For each city it provides data on key industries, skills, international and domestic connections, and skill shortages. The goal is to understand regional networks and how they can help cities grow.
