2009. Because the letter was a primary source it has no known or thought of limitations. The
purpose of the letter was to inform the president about the drug trade problem in Peru and its
effects on the country. It was only made for his eyes to see but was then release to the public
with none of it changed on the United Nations website. There are no limitations for its purpose

states, I sold the watch to get the money to buy your combs. And now suppose you put the chops
on. (108). Briefly, the author shows that Jim has given up his most valuable possession for
someone he loved. This shows irony because now Della has no hair for the combs and Jim has no
watch for his new watch chain. They are both left with two useless items. According to the author,
the text also says, And here i have lamely related to you the uneventful chronicle of two foolish
children in a flat who most unwisely sacrificed for each other the greatest treasures of their house.
(108). In this quote, the author is directly stating how irony is used in the story. This is showing
how the two people sacrificed something for each other but ended up both items being useless
because they gave up the things the items were useful to. Given these points, the author uses irony
to demonstrate problems throughout the story in different situations.

In this review, three different analysis techniques will be discussed, including Structured What If
Technique (SWIFT), Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA) and Technique for
Human Error rate Prediction (THERP). Each of them will be discussed in three aspects (concept,
suitable situations and application).

Concept of SWIFT:
As a technique of risk identification, SWIFT is flexible and focus on high level. It can be run
alone, or as a portion of a staged method to achieve more efficient use of bottom up methods like
FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) [1].
By concentrating on high level procedures, SWIFT can often be conducted more rapidly than
more detail oriented approaches. In fact, an industrial case showed that a SWIFT risk
assessment could be conducted in as little as one third of the time required for a HAZOP (Hazard

and Operability study) based approach [1], a result that was replicated in a study comparing
