Requirements
ALM Repository
• Manage and prioritize tests by defining what needs to be tested
and how to test: Who runs the test? When to test? What
requirements did tests cover?
• Minimize duplication of data (requirements, test data, test cases,
test artifacts etc.)
• Requirements traceability – map tests, ā€œwhat is being tested?ā€ to
business requirements and user requirements ā€œwhy is it being
tested?ā€
• Analyze test execution results against historical results
to ensure proper release management
• Continue using the existing solution for identifying
defects, improve quality and user experiences
• Utilized test automation artifacts for future development
• Prepare environment to run the test: Prepare test data; Prepare assets and
configuration data; Prepare the Application Under Test system
• Build reusable components by identifying the common functionalities,
objects, and libraries
• Build a framework which offers the capability and flexibility to handle
system and business exceptions
• Implement Test Automations according to design specifications

Editor's Notes

  • #8 <17’> During the Test Automation Development, we used the Agile methodology for Better Adaptability, Continuous Improvement and Fast Delivery We started from Planning when segregate the User stories to Test Scenarios and defined the Test Case, prioritizing everything sprint wise based on different criteria like: Business importance, criticality, repeatability, reusability and SAP Build readiness. Leveraging the Task capture and Test Manager Then we designed the Test Automation, implement, test and debug from a development standpoint leveraging Studio features Then Execute using Orchestrator and Testing Robots Then analyzed and release in Orchestrator and Test Manger Agile principles help us to start test automation development earliest and release faster to be able to execute multiple times the tests and catch defects much early. Give more time to the SAP development and configuration teams to fix the defects. Catching early the defects increase exponential the build quality Now, lets see how we did it:
