Excited to partner with ServiceNow AI Research on the release of GroundNext, a new open source family of desktop grounding models trained on the GroundCUA dataset, built for agents navigating real-world UIs! This collaboration focused on grounding agents in real software, from design tools to IDEs, spreadsheets, and browsers, not toy environments. We provided frontier data and feedback to help scale human-demonstrated grounding efforts. What’s included: • GroundCUA: a large-scale, open dataset of human-demonstrated desktop interactions • GroundNext (3B & 7B): multimodal models trained via 700k high-quality SFT samples and 10k reward-weighted examples • Evaluation suite benchmarked across 5 grounding tasks, including ScreenSpot-Pro, OSWorld-G, UI-Vision, and more Despite minimal compute, GroundNext often outperforms models trained on 10x more data.
