WorkSafe is proud to support the Re:act program, which empowers design students to develop road safety campaigns that resonate with their 17-25 year-old peers. Throughout November, student-led campaigns are launching across Australia, including right here in Geelong, where The Gordon’s Madelynne Walker has been selected for her powerful concept: “Holding on to your tomorrow.” Another compelling campaign, “Click to equip”, by Bendigo TAFE student Samantha Mudford, will be rolled out in Bendigo. Developed with guidance from local road safety and industry partners, both campaigns will now roll out across partner and Re:act channels to reach young workers and road users. The construction site was hot 🔥 (not the good kind), temps around the century mark. I brought a young "slightly opinionated" tech to the site to help troubleshoot if things needed tweaking. Keep in mind, this one had never been out of the office, yet had zero empathy for those folks sweating it out in the field. So there we are in full PPE and then the software doesn't work! Frantic and now really feeling the pressure, the "office tech" got a taste of what it's like to be in the weeds. The clock is ticking, the crew is waiting and the tech is failing. My conversation with Jack Carrere -CEO of Prokeep - was a good one. We covered a lot of ground and anyone in the construction and distribution side of the world would be wise to check it out. I'm sure some of the stories will resonate. 🎙️ Here it is on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gnf-uSu4 🎥 Or you can watch on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gU3iRSjw

One of the highlights of #MootGlobal25 was the opportunity to present "Building confidence, not just compliance" led by Gavin Henrick, Co-Founder of Brickfield Education Labs. It was wonderful to connect in person with so many educators, designers, and technologists who are passionate about accessibility and inclusive learning. The conversations and feedback reminded us how strong the community is and how much we can achieve together. During the session, Gavin introduced the 18 Point Accessibility Skills Framework, a practical model that helps turn accessibility into everyday habits. The framework is built around six themes: - Media. - Table. - Links. - Text. - Layout. Each theme includes simple, actionable steps that make content clearer, more engaging, and easier to use for everyone. You can explore the full framework, see examples, and download our accessibility resources in our latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/emgdXuMH #Accessibility #EdTech #Moodle

Designing for Simplicity in Motion Teachers juggle a lot during school trips - tracking attendance, timing, safety, and student updates. These two screens from TripBuddy were designed to make that process smoother: * Teacher Dashboard – Gives a quick view of active trips, student check-ins, and upcoming stops. * Live Headcount – Lets teachers mark attendance instantly and view parent notifications in real-time. My focus for this flow: Minimal layout with clear visual hierarchy Soft pastel tones for a calm interface Readable typography with balanced spacing The goal: empower teachers with tools that simplify field trip management without overwhelming them. “Would love to hear your thoughts. what feature would you find most useful as a teacher?
