Accessibility benefits every learner not only those who rely on assistive technologies. At #MootGlobal25 we demonstrated how small thoughful design choices can completely transform the learner experience. Features like captions descriptive links and consistent layouts improve access and engagement for all learners not just those who rely on assisstive technology. Our latest blog post unpacks these ideas and shows how the 18 Point Accessibility Skills Framework turns inclusion into action. It also includes practical examples and links to our Accessibility Tip Zine and Tip Cube which make learning about accessibility simple visual and hands-on. One of the highlights of #MootGlobal25 was the opportunity to present "Building confidence, not just compliance" led by Gavin Henrick, Co-Founder of Brickfield Education Labs. It was wonderful to connect in person with so many educators, designers, and technologists who are passionate about accessibility and inclusive learning. The conversations and feedback reminded us how strong the community is and how much we can achieve together. During the session, Gavin introduced the 18 Point Accessibility Skills Framework, a practical model that helps turn accessibility into everyday habits. The framework is built around six themes: - Media. - Table. - Links. - Text. - Layout. Each theme includes simple, actionable steps that make content clearer, more engaging, and easier to use for everyone. You can explore the full framework, see examples, and download our accessibility resources in our latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/emgdXuMH #Accessibility #EdTech #Moodle

Accessibility is often viewed through the lens of compliance but it is much more than following regulations. At #MootGlobal we shared how accessibility is really about confidence. It is the confidence to design create and share learning materials that everyone can use. When educators understand the reasons behind accessibility inclusion becomes part of their everyday approach to teaching and design. It is not about ticking boxes. It is about improving learning for all. Our latest blog post introduces the 18-Point Accessibility Skills Framework a practical roadmap of accessibility practices that help make learning content inclusive and effective for everyone. You can also download our Accessibility Tip Zine and order the Accessibility Tip Cube two creative resources that make inclusive design easy to apply in everyday practice. Accessibility isn’t an option — it’s a responsibility. Across the world, many organizations still struggle with one common challenge: their digital documents and websites aren’t built for everyone. Here’s what often goes wrong 👇 ❌ PDFs and websites that screen readers can’t interpret. ❌ Images without alt text, leaving people out of the conversation. ❌ Poor color contrast and complex navigation for users with low vision. ❌ Content that’s not tagged properly — making it invisible to assistive tools. ❌ Teams unaware of accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, AODA, PDF/UA and EAA). These gaps don’t just create compliance issues — they create barriers for millions of people. The solution isn’t just about fixing documents. It’s about rethinking how we design, publish, and communicate — so every user, everywhere, can access and engage equally. Let’s move from awareness to action — because accessibility means inclusion, opportunity, and human connection. 💙

Three weeks ago, we launched AudioEye Learning with a simple promise: to make accessibility education clear, practical, and actionable. But what stands out most? The variety of starting points. Some students are exploring accessibility for the first time, while others are experienced practitioners looking to formalize their knowledge. All are committed to creating digital experiences that everyone can use. If you've been watching from the sidelines, wondering if now is the right time, your users can't wait for perfect timing. Every day of delay is another day of barriers that could be bridges. Choose your path: -Web Accessibility 101 -Digital Accessibility Compliance & Laws -Accessible Coding Free. Comprehensive. Ready when you are. https://lnkd.in/eB6SasRC Image Description: A partial view of Earth on the left with green connecting dots and lines overlaps with a large blue accessibility symbol of a person with arms outstretched on the right, set against a black background with a faint grid pattern. Center text reads, “For curious beginners, experienced professionals, and everyone in between.” Below the text is a blue button labeled, “Begin AudioEye Learning Paths,” with the AudioEye logo and name displayed at the bottom. #A11y #ContinuousLearning #ProfessionalGrowth #Accessibility

Most educators and learning designers agree that inclusion matters. Yet few have ever tested their own websites or digital materials for accessibility. What if inclusion could start with a simple, 30-minute audit — no code, no jargon, just awareness and action? The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are often seen as technical compliance. But their true purpose is empathy in code — ensuring every learner, regardless of ability, can access, perceive, and interact with content. Here’s the quiet truth: accessibility isn’t an add-on. It’s design literacy. And every minute invested in testing your content is a minute invested in someone’s dignity. Accessibility is the first language of digital empathy. Every small fix tells a student: you belong here. #EduPsychedInsights #InclusiveDesign #Accessibility #EdTech #DigitalEmpathy #UniversalDesign #WCAG
