Create a project with Hiring Assistant

Hiring Assistant simplifies project setup so you can start sourcing qualified candidates quickly and efficiently.

From your Hiring Assistant dashboard, you can start a new hiring project by clicking Start hiring for a new role to launch the guided project creation flow through chat. Alternatively, you can move your cursor over Projects at the top of your homepage and select Create new Project from the dropdown, or create a project from the global search bar.

Hiring Assistant is enabled by default for all new projects but can be disabled before project creation and re-enabled later, if needed.

Hiring Assistant helps with sourcing, messaging, and evaluation tasks, making your hiring process faster and more efficient.

Hiring Assistant is automatically enabled when you manually create a project or job post. Hiring Assistant will only recommend assistance for projects you own and that include enough information to begin sourcing. When you enable Hiring Assistant in an existing project in your project settings, it guides you through setup based on the details you provide.

You can remove or re-enable Hiring Assistant anytime from your project settings if you’re the project owner. Admins on your contract can manage Hiring Assistant access across all projects.

Manage your project hiring plan

A hiring plan helps Hiring Assistant tailor candidate sourcing and outreach to meet your project goals.

When you create a project using Hiring Assistant, it automatically defines a hiring plan. This includes the number of candidates to review at a time and the expected number of InMail accepts. The plan guides how Hiring Assistant sources and prioritizes candidates for your role.

You can adjust the hiring plan and level of AI support during project setup or anytime from the project’s Overview page.

Review candidates sourced by Hiring Assistant

Hiring Assistant helps you quickly identify and evaluate qualified candidates so you can make informed decisions and keep your hiring process moving.

Once Hiring Assistant finishes sourcing, you’ll receive a dashboard notification when candidates are ready for review. Each candidate appears in your project’s Pipeline with a summary of qualifications and sourcing details. The Saved by section indicates which candidates were sourced by Hiring Assistant. You can sort candidates by Last modified (default), Alphabetical, or use Spotlights to filter by:

- Added by your Hiring Assistant – Candidates sourced by Hiring Assistant rather than by a recruiter.

- Applicants – Applicants who have applied to the job post in your project.

- Active talent – Candidates who are more active on LinkedIn and more likely to respond to recruiter outreach based on their profile activity, such as sharing a profile update, sharing a public resume on LinkedIn, or working at a company that may be experiencing layoffs.

- Missed candidates – Candidates who have been uncontacted for longer than a week.

Hiring Assistant learns from your actions. When you archive or message candidates and provide feedback, it refines future sourcing. If you update project qualifications, it reevaluates remaining candidates to better match your needs.

Hiring Assistant streamlines candidate outreach so you can connect with top talent quickly and efficiently.

You can send initial and follow-up messages to up to 25 candidates at once from your Hiring Assistant dashboard or Pipeline page. Hiring Assistant provides AI-generated message drafts that you can customize and send individually or in bulk. This helps you maintain consistent communication while saving time during the outreach process.

Prescreen candidates with Hiring Assistant

Automated prescreening helps you gather key candidate information early, so you can focus on the most promising talent.

With automated prescreening, Hiring Assistant can automatically collect responses from candidates who accept your InMail message. Once you enable prescreening from your message draft or message thread in your Inbox, Hiring Assistant manages the prescreening process and provides a summary of candidate responses for your review.

Review applicants with Hiring Assistant

Hiring Assistant helps you quickly identify top applicants so you can focus on those most aligned with your hiring criteria.

When applicants are ready for review, Hiring Assistant will notify you through your dashboard and direct you to the Applicants page within your project. To prioritize your review, you can sort applicants by:

- Relevance – Top candidates identified by Hiring Assistant

- Screening Requirements – Applicants who meet your job post’s screening question criteria

- Newest first – Most recent applicants

- Alphabetical – Sorted by name

When you reject an applicant or highlight and comment on text in their profile, Hiring Assistant uses that input to refine future sourcing. It adapts to your preferences and updates candidate recommendations to better match your hiring needs.
