A Hiring Assistant license in LinkedIn Recruiter allows a recruiter to use Hiring Assistant to help with hiring tasks such as creating a project, sourcing and messaging candidates and applicants, prescreening candidates, and more.
Hiring Assistant action limits
Each Hiring Assistant license includes monthly limits that define the maximum actions Hiring Assistant can perform. The limits are per license, not pooled across users or contracts. There are two types of limited actions Hiring Assistant can perform per month:
- Sourced candidates: Each license includes a monthly limit on the number of candidates Hiring Assistant can source in a project.
- Evaluated applicants: Each license includes a monthly limit on the number of job applicants Hiring Assistant can evaluate monthly.
Hiring Assistant automatically stops sourcing candidates or evaluating applicants for a recruiter once they reach their monthly limit. If a recruiter exceeds the limit on their contract, they must wait until the next month for the limit to refresh or upgrade the tier.
Hiring Assistant license tiers
Hiring Assistant licenses are available in three tiers, with each one designed to meet the needs of your hiring strategy. The number of licenses you can purchase can’t exceed the number of Recruiter Searcher licenses on your contract, and each tier includes the specified number of credits outlined in the tabs below.
Recruiter customers can view their tier limits in the Recruiter Corporate tab, while Recruiter Professional Services Plus (RPS+) customers can view their tier limits in the Recruiter Professional Services Plus (RPS+) tab.
Recruiter Corporate customers can purchase these tiers.
| License tier | Sourced candidates | Evaluated applicants |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 200 sourced candidates | 3,500 evaluated applicants |
| Tier 2 | 800 sourced candidates | 9,000 evaluated applicants |
| Tier 3 | 1,500 sourced candidates | 25,000 evaluated applicants |
Recruiter Professional Services Plus (RPS+) customers can purchase these tiers.
| License tier | Sourced candidates | Evaluated applicants |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 150 sourced candidates | 4,500 evaluated applicants |
| Tier 2 | 600 sourced candidates | 15,000 evaluated applicants |
| Tier 3 | 1,500 sourced candidates | 50,000 evaluated applicants |
License assignments and reassignments
An admin can assign a Hiring Assistant license to the following users:
- Recruiter User
- Recruiter Admin
- Custom Role with a Hiring Project Creator license and the Recruiter Searcher permission
When an admin reassigns or parks a Hiring Assistant license, the remaining credits don’t reset for the new month. The reassigned user inherits the same remaining credits for that license. For example, if a license is reassigned midway through the month with 50 remaining credits in its sourcing allotment, the new assignee can only use those remaining 50 credits until the limit resets the following month.
Important to know
Credits and refreshes
Credits are tied to individual licenses and cannot be shared or distributed across users or within a contract. If you provision a new license partway through a month, the license receives the full allotment for that month. When the next month begins, the allotment refreshes. If you deactivate or do not renew your contract, you can’t transfer any unused credits. Candidate profiles that are archived by Hiring Assistant (e.g., auto-filtered as “Not a Fit”) will not result in credit refunds. As the owner of your contract, you may upgrade or downgrade tiers.
Important to know
License usage
Admins can track Hiring Assistant credit usage and usage caps at both individual and contract levels. Individual usage, including candidate sourcing and applicant evaluations, can be viewed on the Overview page of Hiring Assistant projects you own.
For contract-wide usage, admins can use the Usage Report in Recruiter by filtering from the 1st of the month to the current date and focusing on the Profiles saved to project and Applicants evaluated metrics specific to Hiring Assistant.
