View ad performance by device type in Campaign Manager

On your Campaign Manager reporting dashboard, you can filter by Impression Device Type, which allows you to view performance based on the devices members were using when they saw your ads. 

Device types include:  

  • Desktop Web
  • Mobile App 
  • Mobile Web  
  • Connected TV

You might also see Uncategorized on your report. Uncategorized means that we weren’t able to categorize the device where the impression occurred. 

Important to know

When you filter by Impression Device Type, you’ll see metrics broken down by device on your dashboard. Some metrics are currently not available for breakdown by device type. These include conversion metrics, such as click conversions and view conversions, and reach and frequency metrics, such as reach, average frequency, and cost per 1,000 member accounts reached. 

Keep in mind, ad placement is automatically optimized toward the customer’s objective-based return on investment (ROI) at scale across device types.

To view ad performance based on device type: 

  1. Go to your ad account in Campaign Manager.

  2. Click Advertise on the left menu.

  3. Click the Campaigns, Ad sets, or Ads tab.

  4. Click the Columns dropdown menu and select the type of metrics you’d like to view (example: Engagement).

  5. Click the Breakdown dropdown menu and select Impression Device Type.

From here, you can review your metrics by device.
