Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) can provide critical insight into infrastructure failures and pinpoint damaged sections. For example, just yesterday, the Hongqi Bridge collapse in Shuangjiangkou, Sichuan Province. Highlighted is the portion of the bridge that collapsed, viewable even through cloud cover and at night. Umbra’s high-resolution SAR imagery enables precise change detection and terrain assessment, supporting a clear understanding of events like this when optical imaging is limited.
