Great to see the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering and Emil Michael's leadership in continuing and expanding the Department of War's focus on scalable hypersonics as a critical technology area. Castelion is committed to making affordable, mass produced hypersonics available to the Warfighter in a timeframe of relevance.
The pressing national security challenges of our time necessitate that the United States Department of War innovate with uncompromising speed. Proven, tangible technologies must be placed into the hands of our warfighters so they never face a fair fight. To that end, the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering is announcing its new list of Critical Technology Areas for the United States Department of War.
Today we announced the site selection of Project Ranger, a 1,000-acre hypersonic manufacturing campus in Sandoval County, New Mexico. Project Ranger will create 300 high-quality jobs and deepen a partnership with a state whose people and institutions have long advanced America's aerospace and national security missions. Castelion is rebuilding America's capacity to manufacture long-range strike weapons at speed and scale, strengthening our nation's ability to deter conflict. Castelion has been awarded multiple contracts to integrate our hypersonic Blackbeard weapon system onto US Army and US Navy platforms. Under these agreements, we will work with both services to integrate the hypersonic Blackbeard weapon system onto operational platforms and demonstrate its capabilities in live-fire tests - advancing the Department of War’s effort to accelerate new, cost-effective strike capabilities for conventional deterrence.
