This is why we do what we do. ✨ Our Senior Agency Contracting Specialist Audra Palermo recently saw a Spark agent work their magic in real time — at her mom’s house. Audra watched her mom go from panicked (thinking her plan was cancelled after years with the same carrier – and she hates change!) to giving the Spark agent a big hug. "It was so rewarding to see my mom’s agent guide the conversation with the help of Spark’s tools and give my mom one less thing to worry about. She was so excited, so was I, and proud of us."

AEP halftime check-in: What's working for top Medicare agents right now? ✓ Building digital presence ✓ Community partnerships year-round ✓ Providing value before selling ✓ Remembering why we do this work The Independent Medicare Network hosted AEP Halftime Strategies this week, bringing together former Medicare agents Pam Harrison, Gilberto Enriquez, and Jesse Hendon, who shared what it takes to have a successful AEP without burning out. Here's the truth: People don't refer salespeople. They refer trusted advisors who truly helped them. "It's not about doing one big thing; it's about being present." - Gilberto Enriquez Watch the full recording here: https://lnkd.in/eh9jfWWa

Changing of the guard? The recent Medicare Advantage enrollment update from Spark Advisors is fascinating. What the data actually means is in the eye of the beholder - it does not capture 100% of enrollments nor takes into account disenrollments. But...ball don't lie. The data supports Humana's significant growth in membership, predominantly at the cost of United's. This article https://lnkd.in/exwXudZq dives into the disruption taking place. Enjoy! #MedicareAdvantage

The best teams don't just work hard together. They build the systems that help everyone work smarter. This week's spotlight goes to Joseph, who shows us what "succeed as a team" looks like in action. Joseph has always been a strong advocate that in order to operate better as a team, especially as Spark grows, we need to invest in the infrastructure the team uses and ensure everyone understands the why behind those decisions. In doing that, he’s helped the entire team move faster and make more informed investments. “Joseph sets a standard for all of us on the team. He is exceptional at explaining things in depth and has helped the team immensely.”

The disruption is real this AEP, but so is the opportunity. 75% of beneficiaries saw cost increases this year. And with plan cancellations ranging from 4% to over 50% depending on the carrier, it's no wonder shopping activity is way up this AEP. 💡 Smart agents are staying ahead by: → Using Spark’s AI Assistant to identify which clients are impacted → Tailoring recommendations based on each beneficiary's specific situation → Using tools like Plan Cheatsheets to help clients compare options quickly With so many beneficiaries still exploring, now's the time to be the guide your community needs and make the most of these final weeks. Agents working with veterans, here's what you need to know: ✨ Part B giveback benefits need CMS approval before mentioning in marketing. ✨ Accurately explain how VA benefits, Tricare for Life, and Medicare work together. Here's what you can share with your clients: ✨ Veterans can use VA or Tricare benefits alongside Medicare Advantage plans. ✨ MA plans can provide access to civilian providers when VA facilities are far away. ✨ Since Tricare for Life covers prescriptions, MA-only plans are a common pairing. ✨ MAPD plans may benefit VA users who see civilian doctors for prescription coverage. The best approach? Education first. Build trust through community involvement before enrollment conversations start. This serves veterans better and keeps everyone compliant. Need a refresher? Here’s a helpful training webinar hosted by our Compliance Supervisor Pam Harrison: https://lnkd.in/gevDK499...

Which companies are MA members switching to this AEP? Spark's recent blog "AEP 2026 halftime trends — broker production and beneficiary insights" includes a cool visual that gives us this insight. From their data, Humana and Devoted are picking up the most switchers, with a main driver being C-SNP enrollments. Check out their full blog, it has some very helpful and interesting insights -> https://lnkd.in/g3jthcSq __ P.S. -> thanks to Spark for being this week's Medicare Market Insights sponsor!

With 25 days left in AEP, we analyzed enrollment data across more than 8,000 Spark agents to get a first glimpse at production stats and the impact of this year’s plan disruptions. Here are the key trends we’re seeing. 1. Top 10% of brokers have written 166+ apps this AEP. → Our data shows top-performing field agents have pushed past 100 apps by this point. As another comparison point, the top 25% have written 106. → The top 10% of field agents who have been with Spark for more than one AEP are growing 45% YoY. Disruptions are causing many beneficiaries to switch plans. Spark’s automation tools are also freeing up valuable time for agents. → Broker takeaway: It’s not too late to boost production. The team is hosting a live webinar tomorrow where experienced agents will share their strategies and tips: https://lnkd.in/eMqC5Dvn 2. C-SNP enrollments are growing the fastest across all plan types. → C-SNP application count is already up 69% from last AEP. Humana, UHC, and Devoted are the most popular carriers for C-SNP enrollees (and overall). → Broker takeaway: Increases in C-SNP plans and covered conditions mean more year-round enrollment opportunities. Use Plan Cheatsheets to find SNPs in your counties: https://lnkd.in/e8cypB7j 3. 75% of Spark beneficiaries with the Big 6 carriers saw cost increases this year. → These cost increases vary by carrier, ranging from < 5% of beneficiaries impacted for one carrier to over 50% for others. Plan cancellations also greatly fluctuate. → Broker takeaway: With so much disruption variance, make sure you understand how your clients have been affected and tailor your recommendations accordingly. Widespread disruption has made this AEP a challenging one for brokers but ambitious brokers know there are still tons of opportunities to build trust and grow their books. Let’s finish AEP strong.
