Agents working with veterans, here's what you need to know: ✨ Part B giveback benefits need CMS approval before mentioning in marketing. ✨ Accurately explain how VA benefits, Tricare for Life, and Medicare work together. Here's what you can share with your clients: ✨ Veterans can use VA or Tricare benefits alongside Medicare Advantage plans. ✨ MA plans can provide access to civilian providers when VA facilities are far away. ✨ Since Tricare for Life covers prescriptions, MA-only plans are a common pairing. ✨ MAPD plans may benefit VA users who see civilian doctors for prescription coverage. The best approach? Education first. Build trust through community involvement before enrollment conversations start. This serves veterans better and keeps everyone compliant. Need a refresher? It’s one of the biggest misconceptions I hear from people turning 65. Many assume it’s automatic, but timing matters, and missing your window can mean costly penalties or gaps in coverage. Here’s the simple roadmap I share with new heroes turning 65: 1️⃣ Three months before your 65th birthday, start planning. 2️⃣ Apply for Medicare Part A and B unless you’re still working with employer coverage. 3️⃣ Compare your options for supplemental coverage, whether Medicare Supplement (Medigap) or Advantage plans. 4️⃣ Avoid penalties by enrolling on time and understanding how your current coverage fits in (not all employer coverage will allow you to delay). If you or someone on your team is approaching 65 and wants to make sense of it all, message me and I’ll send you a free copy of my Medicare Enrollment Road Map. It walks through every step in plain English. #Medicare #Leadership #EmployeeBenefits #Turning65 #MedicareEducation

Open enrollment is underway. For the second year in a row, the number of stand-alone Medicare drug-benefit plans, known as Part D plans, is dropping sharply. The 2026 offerings will include 360, down from 709 in 2024. With this reduction in supply and changes in how brokers are compensated, make certain you are working with a professional you trust when orchestrating your Medicare due diligence.

APCM is the new CCM. Here’s how to start it right. Most practices will miss this window because they overcomplicate it. Here’s the 4-step playbook: 1️⃣ Find the right patients. Medicare Part B. Ongoing primary care. Chronic conditions or preventive needs. If another provider billed APCM this month — skip them. 2️⃣ Get consent. One minute. Verbal or written. Explain: “We’ll manage your care monthly under one provider.” Save it. Done. 3️⃣ Set the baseline. Review meds, vitals, conditions. Set one measurable goal (BP, weight, A1C — whatever matters). That’s your starting line. 4️⃣ Stay consistent. Every month: log any touches, update progress, bill G0556-G0558. No time tracking. Just proof you’re managing care. APCM = Simplicity + Scale + Compliance. If CCM felt like paperwork, APCM feels like clarity. Drop a comment if you want the APCM Onboarding Checklist I built for practices starting next month.

Medicare 2026: What’s Changing for Marketing, Brokers & Beneficiaries Medicare’s 2026 rules bring major shifts in marketing, broker conduct, and member protections. 1) Stricter marketing oversight. CMS is tightening rules around advertising, TPMOs, call centers, and digital outreach. Plans and brokers must use clearer language, accurate benefit descriptions, and approved scripts only. 2) Broker compensation guardrails. 2026 continues CMS efforts to reduce inappropriate steering. Compensation structures face more scrutiny, with a push toward transparency and member-first recommendations. 3) Stronger beneficiary protections. Expect clearer disclosures, simpler plan comparisons, better guidance on prescription costs, and guardrails to prevent misleading “too good to be true” offers. 4) Higher expectations for education & accuracy. Brokers must provide more compliant, unbiased plan education—especially with the Part D redesign, $2,100 OOP cap, and 2026 premium changes. What beneficiaries should expect: ✅ Clearer marketing and fewer confusing ads ✅ More guidance on drug costs, OOP caps, and 2026 benefits ✅ Better support choosing MA vs. Med Supp vs. Part D ✅ More focus on accuracy, protection, and transparency Bottom line: 2026 will reward brokers and plans that prioritize education, compliance, and trust—and beneficiaries will finally see clearer, safer Medicare shopping experiences. #Medicare2026 #MedicareMarketing #HealthcareCompliance #MedicareAdvantage #Brokers #CMS #BeneficiaryExperience
