    The Architect as Developer Lab Testing an Idea — Gauging Interest I’m considering launching a 6-month Architect-as-Developer Lab — a small group (2–5) of serious candidates who would meet with the team at Mortar to explore the real-world integration of architecture and real estate. Over the years, I’ve seen many architects dabble in development or complete a one-off project. But only a handful have built a sustainable business structure — one that creates financial freedom, lifestyle control, and true ownership of their work.
