MDPI Singapore recently visited Tasmania, Australia, where we had the pleasure of engaging in insightful discussions with esteemed scholars. The visit provided a meaningful opportunity to exchange perspectives, deepen our understanding of their research experiences, and gather valuable feedback on their interactions with MDPI journals. The scholars emphasized the importance of maintaining strong and consistent quality standards across all MDPI journals to further enhance the publisher’s reputation. They appreciated the speed and efficiency of MDPI’s editorial process but highlighted the need for well-matched review invitations and respect for reviewers’ recommendations to ensure fairness and credibility. While they valued the Open Access model for its accessibility, high APCs remain a concern, underscoring the need for more institutional publishing agreements. They also encouraged stronger promotion and engagement efforts to boost journal visibility and community connection. MDPI Singapore is grateful for the warm welcome and insightful discussions with these esteemed scholars during our visit: : Dr. Hongyuan Liu, Prof. Dr. Michael Negnevitsky, Dr. Stephen Tristram, Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Sohal, Dr. Auro Almeida, Dr. Catriona Macleod, Prof. Dr. Meixue Zhou, Dr. Grant Williamson and Dr. Liesel FitzGerald. We sincerely appreciate the time and insights shared with us and look forward to strengthening our connections and exploring future collaborations. 🌟 #MDPI #MDPISingapore #Australia #OpenAccess #ResearchCollaboration #ScholarlyCommunication #AcademicPublishing #MDPICancers #MDPIFire #MDPIAgriculture #MDPISustainability #MDPIForest #MDPIJCM #MDPIPathogens #MDPIEnergies #MDPIGeosciences

Our team had the pleasure of connecting with Dr. Pai Ng and Dr. Purnima Murali Mohan, Guest Editors of Information MDPI and faculty members at the Infocomm Technology (ICT) cluster, Singapore Institute of Technology. Both scholars shared that their overall experience with Information has been positive. They were pleased to note the journal’s steady growth in Impact Factor and expressed optimism about its continued progress. 📈 Dr. Ng raised an important point about maintaining Information’s competitiveness. We explained MDPI’s various initiatives to support authors and offset publishing costs, including Guest Editor and Editorial Board Member waivers, reviewer vouchers, and institutional open access programs (IOAPs). Regarding the editorial process, Dr. Purnima noted that her experience has been smooth overall. She appreciated the straightforward interface of SuSy and the ability to leave comments directly on manuscripts. Initial technical issues with email delivery have since been resolved. We are sincerely grateful to Dr. Ng and Dr. Purnima for their thoughtful feedback and continued contributions to Information. Their insights help us strengthen the journal’s engagement with both academic and industry researchers, and advance its mission within the broader open access publishing community. 🌟 #Information #MDPI #MDPISingapore #OpenAccess #ScientificPublishing #AcademicCollaboration #ResearchCommunity
