FUNCTION HEALTH RAISES $298M SERIES B AT $2.5B VALUATION Founded in 2022 by Jonathan Swerdlin and co-founders, Function Health is at the forefront of integrating AI and healthcare. The company provides regular lab testing to gather personal health data then connects the data to an AI model to help interpret personal nuances in order to improve user’s health. Function’s membership costs $1/day including 160+ lab tests, insights from top doctors and researchers, no insurance. This latest round of funding led by Redpoint and values the company at $2.5B, bringing the company’s total capital raised to $350M. Function also unveiled Medical Intelligence Lab, an effort to build a “medical intelligence” gen-AI model that provides personalized health insights based on an individual’s data. Swerdlin, Function’s CEO, noted the platform meets HIPAA standards, fully encrypting users data.
